Did you watch?
I could lie and tell you I did watch and tell you who I thought did the best, had the answers all America wanted to hear, but I didn't. When I heard they both practiced, had a prompter, I wasn't interested. Instead of talking the talk, I want to see who can walk the walk.
At church last night, the message was entitled, "Do you know what time it is?" It was certainly timely.
The news last night and again this morning told of a rare meningitis outbreak, due to the steroid injection people with back pain are receiving. Guess what? Both Jim and I have had that very thing in the last month. After looking up the symptoms, we don't seem to have them, but it is scary. In fact, Jim is to have a nerve block tomorrow and he is going to call today and inquire as to where the medication they plan to use, was made.
4 dead from rare meningitis, more cases expected...
With all that is going on in this world, and especially in the USA, we need to need to repeatedly ask God to bless us.........
I watched the debate. Mr, Romney seemed much more confidentand whether he practiced or not was more assured of what he was speaking. I did doze off a little though ;-)
ReplyDeletePrayers that all will go well for Jim.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Thank you Cheryl....we are praying that Jim can be pain free, if just for a little while.
ReplyDeleteI didn't watch it either. It's hard to believe a word anyone in Washington says. Like you said, we'll see who walks the walk.
ReplyDeleteThe great thing about having faith and trusting God, is that no matter what happens in this world, God is not going to take any of us out until the day he has appointed for us. He uses different means to do that, but each day is from God and we can trust in his timing and plan. Each day we just need to ask God what we can do for him and his service for that day and leave the rest to him.
Ditto Sandra.....God will take care of us in HIS time, not the Democrats nor the Republicans, and we just have to trust Him.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! I did watch for about 20 minutes, but didn't tune in until it has been on for awhile. Governor Romney looked confident, knew his facts and ran over Obama. Obama did lots of "ummmm"ing and kept bringing up his grandmother, and is still blaming his trouble on President Bush. He seems to be totally discounting his time in the White House, like it never happened - that this mess we're in has nothing to do with him, and he still thinks raising taxes on the "rich" will fix everything. Come January, the middle class will be hit hard and hugely by increased taxes, thanks to him. I'm certainly not rich, but my taxes will increase on January 1st, and that's just the beginning. The man hasn't a clue. I pray everyday that this nation will be brought back to God, because we are quickly headed to being a Godless country.
ReplyDeleteI hope Jim finds out his coming medication is pure, and that both of you got "the good stuff" before. Keep us posted, please!!
I watched a little of the debates but had to turn it to see our Detroit Tiger, Miguel Cabrera win the Triple Crown!! No one has done this in 45 years!! Needless to say it was way more enjoyable than watching the debate..LOL.
ReplyDeleteI did hear about the meningitis outbreak. I'm so glad you and Jim don't have any symptoms!
Hope you have a great weekend it's a busy one here. Granchildren
ReplyDeleteI watched the debate and was glad I did. It showed how inept President Obama is....he couldn't answer for the 90 million that was given for green energy and then the companies went bankrupt and these were people who were Obama friends. He could only try to poke at Gov. Romney...while Gov. Romney remained positive and showed examples of what he accomplished in Mass. Gov. Romney clearly won this round.
ReplyDeleteToday was our homecoming too...the kids at school spray painted their hair blue and white and were so excited to go to the parade.
Hope all goes well for Jim.
How scary about the meningitis outbreak. Hope all goes well for Jim!
