10 DAYS UNTIL THE FAT MAN RIDES!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far.  Some may still be scrambling to the malls, etc. for those last minute gifts.  Me....am through, wouldn't dare go to a mall, so I feel your pain if you have to go.

Update on Aryn....she has a very small crack in her ankle and is now in a balloon cast, along with the lovely black boot.  She cannot play for at least 3 weeks, and will go back for another x-ray and decision.  The good news is that no ligaments or muscles were damaged and this will heal.  Needless to say, Aryn is upset  that she can't play and help the team.  They have played two games since she got hurt, and have lost both.  Then this article came out in the paper.......it is the stats in girls basketball for the week.

That upset her even more!  This girl loves the game, and loves to play and having to sit it out, just isn't fun.

We are going to my oldest daughter's house tonight for a Christmas get together.  I always look forward to it as she has done it for I believe, four years now.  Good food, good fellowship.

Cali has made her way closer to me.  She always wants to sit in my lap when I am at the desk, but I don't let her because I cant type over her...now, she has found her spot!

As I am sure all know about the tragedy that happened in Connecticut yesterday, I saw this on Facebook, and immediately copied it, as I truly believe this is the main cause for horrible things like that....

Let's all pray for those affected.

  1. That is so true. When they took God out of the schools, it has gone downhill ever since. This shooting yesterday has escalated but so has the violence from the students toward others and the teachers. It's horrible. But it's another sign of the times.
I feel so bad for Aryn. She has played fantastic this year, those numbers show how well. I can imagine she feels like she's let her team down. Still praying for her speedy recovery.
Cali looks contented on her new perch. She's so cute there.
You have a good weekend and a great time with your family.

  2. Well, not good news for Aryn, but I've always heard a break heals faster than a sprain, so prayers lifted for quick healing! I saw photos of your Christmas family get-together on Facebook, and it looks like you had a wonderful time! Cali is so beautiful! I agree that we have lost so much since taking God out of the every day lives of our children. That and a total disrespect for life in general. It is all so very, very sad.

  3. Sure hope Aryn's ankle mends well and quickly. Still keeping her in my prayers. Cali looks so sweet and cute in her new found, favorite spot. So sad about all those children. My heart and prayers go out to all the parents and families. Thank you for your kind thoughts and words when our sweet Angel passed. They are much appreciated. Have a Merry and blessed Christmas sweet Linda. Hugs

  6. I'm sure that it will be a very long 3 weeks for Aryn, but that is so great that she didn't damage no ligaments or muscles:-)

There are no words that can describe the CT shooting. It just breaks my heart. I pray and grieve for each one of the families that lost a loved one.
