"O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people."  Psalm 105:1

We are all saddened by the recent tragedy in Connecticut.  It makes us more aware of our own families, and those who will suffer greatly this Christmas.  From afar we can only pray for the ones left behind, and I urge each and every one of us to do so.

The Christmas party at my oldest daughter's house was  so much fun; the food was delicious, and the fellowship was extra special.  We teased my granddaughter about her and her "boy" friend both being on crutches.  She hurt her ankle in basketball, and he hurt his knee in soccer!  But all in all, it was a great time.

It is pouring rain, which we needed badly, and we are told the temperatures will drop after this episode.  It will feel more like Christmas if it does.

Am struggling with a painful hip, which causes walking to be tough.  I am not attempting to go to church this morning.  All I need to do is slip and fall in all this rain and break a hip, so made a decision not to go.  I will miss the children's Christmas program, which makes me sad too.

  1. Oh, Linda, I'm so sorry to hear about your hip hurting! Not fun at all. I know you will see the doctor before letting the pain go on too long!

The food from your family celebration looks yummy! That caramel cake looks amazingly good!

Glad Aryn is keeping a smile through her recovery. I guess having her friend on crutches, too, might be helping some! ;)

Take care, and do stay safe on that hurting hip!

  3. Hi Linda! I am trying to catch up on my blog reading! I'm sorry to hear your hip is hurting. I think you made a good decision to not go to church, you can't take that chance of falling and injuring it even worst.

Looks like Aryn and Drew are making the best of having to use crutches!

The Christmas party food looks amazing!!

  4. Sounds like your family had a good time together. The food looks so good. And the kids both on crutches.... that's one for the memory book.
Sorry your hip hurts and you had to miss church, but I think it was wise not to venture out and fall. Hope you had a good day, in spite of that.
