10 THOUGHT TUESDAY!

1)  Rain has moved out for a day or two and we actually see sunshine this morning.

2)  No basketball games to go to until after Aryn goes back on 1-4 for check up.

3)  Hip and leg are still painful, so staying home again and resting it, taking pain meds and hoping it will move out soon.

4)  We received three phone calls yesterday with news of deaths.  One was the wife of a childhood friend of Jim's.  She had surgery about 2 months ago for cancer,  and never recovered. Another was one of my two cousin's partner.  He had gone to Mexico to hand out toys to children, was in an auto accident and died at the scene.  The third and last was the son of a long time friend that died suddenly and the caller didn't know the cause yet.  So sad and so hard especially at this time of the year.

5) I guess I will hobble and continue doing laundry.  I do one load, and then sit down and fall asleep.  Get up and repeat.

6)  Jim wanted lights on the front of the house, so he and Murphy decorated last night.

7)  There is a write up in the paper this morning about Aryn and she cant even play!  It mentions that she is injured and not able to score the points she normally does in each game.

8)  My new best friend..........

9)  What Christmas movies have you watched so far?  I have seen White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life, and Christmas Vacation.  It is hard to decide, but I think I like old Jimmy Stewart and It's a Wonderful Life the best.

10) I wish you and yours a very good day and may God richly bless you during this special time of the year.

  1. So sorry to hear of the passing of your three friends. This time of year seems to make it especially hard. My prayers are with all their friends and families. I hope you start to feel some relief in your hip and leg and Aryn heals well too. Lovely Christmas lights outside your home. :) We've watched "How The Grinch Stole Christmas", "Santa Buddies", "Elf" "A Dennis The Menace Christmas", "The Nightmare Before Christmas", "The Search For Santa Paws", and "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" so far. Hoping to get in Home Alone, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Polar Express, and a few others before Christmas. :) Hope you and your family have a wonderful and blessed Christmas Linda.

  2. Sweet Linda, I am so sorry to hear that your hip and leg are still paining you. Hope you will soon be all better and can have a better best friend.

It is a very sad season right now with so much death. I am so sorry for all the deaths with your friends and cousins. We have been getting some calls too. It is always doubly sad when someone dies near the holiday season.

I have not watched any Christmas movies so far this year. I have not watched much TV at all and no movies for about 2 weeks. If one of my favorites come on though I will watch.

Keeping you, Aryn, your friends and family in my prayers. Hugs

  3. I'm so sorry you are still in pain. I well know how tough it is to get up and go when it hurts!!

I'm also sorry to hear about the three deaths in your family/extended family. It's hard any time, but especially during the holidays.

Nice that Aryn got a good write-up. She will be back on the court soon!

We watched Christmas Vacation, Christmas Story, and A Christmas Carol (1953 version is our favorite, with Alistair Sims as Scrooge). We haven't seen It's A Wonderful Life yet, but will. We also watch The Nativity on Christmas Eve, if not before. I like Polor Express, too. There are so many good ones out there!

Take care and rest that hip. Feel better, my friend!

  4. It's always sad to lose a loved one, but when it happens this time of year, it always seems to feel worse. My heart goes out to all of them.
I watched part of The Christmas Story last night, the original version, plus White Christmas the night before. But I have to say "It's a Wonderful Life" is my favorite. I haven't seen it yet. I have the DVD, so I'm not worried about missing it again this year.
You take care and I hope your hip feels better soon.

  6. I'm so sorry for the loss of family and friends. Two friends that Lauren went to high school died a couple of days ago in a car accident. I can't imagine the pain that the families are feeling. That is so cool that the newspaper wrote about Aryn! That had to make her feel good! I hope your hip starts feeling better:-( Your house looks so nice! Very festive!
