MONDAY AGAIN!

Here we go again....Monday, a busy week.  Every year I think.....we will have nothing to do - the kids are all married and gone; the grandkids have school activities and don't have time for us; I ordered all gifts I buy online, so why is every day busy, busy, busy?

The grandkids have Christmas plays, sports, and someone to take them to buy for their parents - guess who does it all?

Church is extremely busy this time of year.  We participate in the Christmas parade for our community, we go carolling, the ladies groups have their party, each Sunday School class has a party, the choir has a children's play and adult cantata, and in among all that, regular services!  Busy, busy, busy.  The pictures are of the tree and nativity scene in the vestibule of my church.  I took them quickly last night when I went inside.

The boxes below are our Christmas Card post office.  Everyone that is a member or who has visited our church on a pretty regular basis, has a slot with their name on it, and we can deposit cards and save on postage.

I have been having leg and foot cramps at night that wake me and I have to get up and walk them out.  Does anyone else have that problem, and any suggestions to stop it, would be welcomed for sure.

Have a good week and let's all stop now and then to remember the "reason for the season".

  1. I've heard a bar of soap by your feet will stop cramps....but usually it means dehydration. Of course, when you drink right before bed, it usually means up twice to pee! LOL Good luck with that, Linda. No fun at all!

Your pictures from church are great! We don't put our tree up on the alter until Christmas Eve, but we do have giving trees in the Parish Hall and the Advent Wreath on the alter. It is a busy time of year, for sure!!

Wishing you a good day, with a little time for yourself!

  2. Your pictures are pretty. I love the Nativity. Beautiful. We have the school Christmas programs too. The first one is tonight. It does sound like you are going to have quite a busy time. Don't forget to take care of yourself. It's during these times when our immune system gets weak and we get susceptible to all those flu germs floating around. About the night-time leg cramps, a small glass of milk before bed helps prevent them for us. Hope you have a great day.

  3. Beautiful decorations in your church. I get cramps in my feet at night but haven't found anything as of yet that helps. Have a wonderful week!

  4. Very nice photos you have shared. Perhaps you could find some stretching foot exercises online that would help prevent the cramps.

  7. Your church is decorated so beautiful! What a great idea to have those mailboxes! I bet it's fun to see them fill up with cards:-) My dad always kept a bar of soap in bed with him and for some reason it took away his cramps. He said it really worked for him..strange..lol.
