SLEEPLESS IN CHATTANOOGA!!!

ZZZZ.....I didn't get many of these last night.  Severe leg cramps had me up and trying to walk them out, massage them out, etc.  I think the last time I got up in pain was about 4:30 or so....whew....it was the worst it has ever been.  I didn't drink my liter of water nor have my glass of milk before bedtime, so maybe that was it!  Trust me when I say, I will do it all today and tonight.  I cant take many more nights like last night.

Jim went to church with me last night.  For explanation, he attends a Presbyterian Church because many of his old family members go there, and it is a dying church and he hates to leave.  It is only about 30-40 old people, no children, and yet a really nice, young pastor.  So, he goes there Sunday mornings, and then goes with me on Sunday night and Wednesday nights, as they don't have services during those times.  He was actually a charter member of the church I belong to.  Odd I know, but at least we go!

My Pastor is a young man, (39)very, very down to earth, loves to hunt and fish, and that is right down Jim's alley!  He brings each message from the Bible down to earth, and the love he feels for His Savior just "eeks" out of him for the people he serves.  He is funny, serious, plain spoken, and he never apologizes for what he says because he takes it straight from Scripture.  We love him, and are blessed to serve with him.

Aryn (#3) has a basketball game tonight, but again, it is out of town and I am not sure we are going.  My daughter is unable to go, so I cant ride with her, and only if Jim wants to go, will we give it a try.

I will leave you with the following:

Lord, we love You and Your Word. We delight in
reading it, learning about You, and following what
You teach us. Thank You for all the blessings that come
from our relationship with You. Amen.

  1. Oh Linda I am so sorry that you are still have ing those darn leg cramps! If they persist you should probably think about going to the doctor. Are you on any new medication that could be causing them? I think it's great that Jim goes to both churches. I love his loyalty to his church but also his dedication to yours as well. Our priest is in his late 50's. Like your pastor, he brings today's world into God's message. I love how he can make words that were written thousands of years ago make since in today's world. I love your new background! Have a wonderful day and God Bless!

  3. It is so nice that Jim goes with you to the evening services! I'm sorry to hear about the leg cramps persisting. It could be a medication change, as Kris suggested, but (as a nurse) I'm sure you know to watch for that kind of thing. If the water helped, just make sure you drink plenty! Good luck to Aryn and her team. Let us know if you got to go and how they do! Hugs.

  4. Sorry to hear you had such an awful night. Maybe you should talk to you doctor, but only to find out what may be causing the cramps. Don't let him just write another prescription. Find the cause. In the meantime, stay on the milk and water for a few more days. See if it is helping. Here's a web site with more information... go to www.webMD.com and search "muscle cramps". It talks about causes and more things you can try. It also mentioned Gatorade. I'd never heard of that one. Keep us informed. Hope you have a good day.

  5. I am sure, if the milk, water and or Gatorade do not do the trick, I will have to give in and go to my doc. #1 I have spinal stenosis, and #2, I am a type 2 diabetic, which are two causes of night muscle cramps, so knowing that, I am trying to do simple things that I can to stop them, rather than going to the doc and have him tell me that....I am an old RN and we are the hardest bunch to give in and go to the doctor....lol But if I cant control them in maybe a week, then I will have to go. Thanks for care and concern, and would appreciate all the prayers I can get.
