THE FIRST DAY!

Can you believe it is the first day of the last month of the year?  It goes by so fast, especially as I grow older.

Aryn's team won last night, but she only scored 19 points.  You say "only", and Jim and I both laughed and said most players don't score that in a season, but she does and it is strange when she scores below 20.  She was "off" her game in other ways too.  But they won!
Grayce, her sister, got to be one of the "ball girls" and she was pretty excited.  They watch the floor and if they see any debris or moisture, it is their job to clean it immediately.

I ordered my final Christmas gift from Amazon yesterday, and I have two day delivery so by the first of next week, I should have all my gifts and can start wrapping.  Feels so good!

No plans here except to watch the SEC Championship game between Alabama and Georgia.  I am not for either one and knowing me, I wont sit still through most of it.

A birth is a commencement. No baby is ever born full-grown. When your God saves you, that doesn’t mean you’re going to sprout wings and get a halo.
Now, he didn’t learn to walk in order to get into the family. He’s in the family. He was born into the family! He is all tomorrows and no yesterdays.
Thank God, that when He saves us, He buries all our sins in the grave of His forgetfulness. That’s how far God hath removed our transgressions from us. But then, we have to learn how to walk, we have to learn how to talk. A birth is a commencement.
John 3:7 says:  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

  2. Congratulations to Aryn. She is good. Her personal scores are fantastic. Yes, most players don't score that much in a season. You can be proud of her.
I still have 3 Christmas gifts to buy and I'll be done. Plus 2 birthday gifts for my daughters. I don't know what to get any of them.
We must be born again. This second birth is of the spirit, which changes us. The Holy Spirit will live in us so we can hear Him, understand Him, and love Him like we've never done before. It's such a wonderful experience. Beyond words.
Take care. Have a great day.

  3. Hi Linda! Good for you, getting your shopping done! Yoohoo! We went out this morning and got the last of what we need, too, except for the gift cards I need to buy. I'll get those next week, and then we will also be done. Congrats to Aryn and her team, again! She is quite the athlete. It's fun that Grayce got to participate, too! Enjoy your Saturday afternoon. We're off to church in a couple of hours. We have 80 degrees today - seems too hot for Christmas! :)
