Hello and good morning from day ??? of rain!  It rained again all night and I didn't sleep.  Not because of the rain, but just one of those nights.  I tossed and turned, couldn't get comfortable, up and down, turned on the computer again and played Bingo, thinking that would bore me to sleep, but nada.  I am tired this morning from all of that, so naps will be due - if possible.

Tonight Aryn has a basketball game against the hardest team in their district.  They have played them once already and got beat, but it was Aryn's first game back, so am hoping she is stronger and the game being at their home gym, might make it at least a closer game.  And of course, we are going....rain or no rain.

I know I talk mostly about my grandchildren here, but they bring happiness and joy to my life.  My 3 children each have 2 of their own, and have done a good job so far in rearing them.  I have some new pictures....bear with me......

To those who love to read and/or study the Bible, have you ever heard of or seen or read a Chronological Bible?  When I was taking the classes in School of the Bible, it was recommended we purchase one for reference.  I purchased The Reese Chronological Bible, and certainly have not been sorry I did.

It is exactly what it says it is...the Bible arranged in consecutive order.  For example, I learned Genesis 1:1 to read: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."  Right?  In the Chronological Bible, it begins with John 1:  "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."  After all, the Word was with God, before He made the world, right?

It is definitely a plus is studying and understanding what God wants for us.  Try it!  I have this one, hard-cover and approximately $25.00.

  1. Linda, we talked about this some time ago, on Multiply, about the chronological order of the Bible. The Bible study that Joe and I did last year took us on a chronological journey through both Old and New Testaments. It was a great way to study and learn, and makes so much more sense that way. I need to look for one of those Bibles, already published in order. Thanks for reminding me.

Your grandchildren are so talented and beautiful. Of course you write about them!! I love hearing about their activities and sporting events. You are blessed, indeed!!

  2. Have I ever told you what a good friend you are? Well, you are!!! I talk to my friends and family about you, things you say and do, and our interaction, as if you live right across the street....lol I am truly thankful for having become friends with you. Thank you for understanding me and my obsession with my grands! The Bible I posted about is really fun to read....I do know the Catholic Bible has more books, so you might be able to find a chronological one with the additional books. What brought it to mind again, is that Jim is now enjoying reading it.

    1. Linda, I value our friendship so much! Meeting in person just cemented our connection! We will be traveling through Chattanooga this Spring for my nieces high school graduation (in Ohio). I'll be in touch so we can hopefully hook up for another meeting! Love & hugs.

  3. What precious grandchildren you have and I am delighted you share them with us. I know they bring you such joy and pride. All the best to Aryn at the game tonight. Sorry you did not rest but perhaps a good nap this afternoon will refresh you.
Thanks for the info about the book, also.

  4. I've heard of the Chronological Bible but I've never checked into it. I may do that now. Thank you. Bob was a Sunday School teacher at the church we attended years ago. He may like reading it too.
I don't mind you talking and bragging about your grandchildren. Us Grandmas have that right, even if we do bore the listener/reader to tears. hahaha
Your little ones are so cute.

I would love to take a chronological Bible study class..it seems like it would make more since put in chronological order.

Have a blessed and peaceful day, Linda!
