THE OLD PATHS!

It's scary when you start making the same noises
as your coffee maker.

Good Saturday morning my dear friends.  Saturday is always a good day to just be lazy, rest, recoup from the week.

I had a stomach bug yesterday and was feeling a little blah all day, but it seems to have passed, thank goodness.  Now will wait for what the new day brings.

I am posting an article that a friend posted on Facebook yesterday.  I truly believe in "the old time religion", and this article says it all.

Hope you can read the article.

I am enjoying Norman Rockwell paintings because it is a glimpse into the "good old days".  Hope you enjoy his thoughts too!

  1. That is a good article and I agree 100%. We can find those entertainment, come-as-you-are, churches all over. I've even heard of some that have a Star-Bucks in the same building or out front. They don't teach the meaning of the cross. And they certainly don't mention sin. Our country needs a good old-fashion revival.
    Hope you are feeling better.

  2. Glad to hear the stomach bug seems to be gone now and I hope you are feeling much better. I could read the article and totally agree with it. That is just about the only kind of church in our area any more. Hugs

  3. Have you heard the song Heart Of Worship? I read an article about how the song came about and it was really good. http://ezinearticles.com/?The-Heart-of-Worship---Story-Behind-the-Song&id=2216343

It doesn't matter what the size of a church is or how talented the musicians are or how many instruments there are. God looks into our hearts and those who worship should worship in spirit and truth. The message of the cross needs to be preached .
    Good vs in Jeremiah 6:16

  4. Sorry to hear you had a bug, too. Mine wasn't a stomach thing, but glad we are both feeling better! I agree with that article, too, Linda. Even the more traditional churches are caving in. If it foretells the second coming, we surely need to be ready. Hugs!
