We were gone all day yesterday and I slept good, but still feel tired this morning.
Went to doctor with Jim, and so glad we did. The doctor is going to check several things in his lab work to see if he can help him not feel so lifeless all the time. Jim is 81, soon to be 82, and has been super active all his life. Now he just wants to "sit".
From there, we went to Red Lobster to eat and both ate too much and were miserable when we came out. We are not eating large amounts of food now days, and we over-did.
From there we went to Aryn's basketball game. They lost, and it was painful.....40-35, and Aryn scored 20 of the points on her team. She was so upset when it was over, as she feels so responsible. We all try to tell her that she cannot win a game alone and she doesn't have other players that really seem to care. Of course, we know she is good, tries hard, etc., but she left the floor crying. She is NOT a crier or emotional person normally, so we knew she was terribly upset. She is after all a 14 year old freshman girl who takes things seriously at this point in life.
By the time we got home around 8 last night, I felt beat up too!
I like your pic...is it a new one?
ReplyDeleteNo Ruth, think it is about a year or so...I dont take many pics of me...:-) but thanks.
DeleteI love your photo at the top of your blog, Linda! Pretty background today, too.
ReplyDeleteAryn is so passionate about her sports, and 14 is such a tough age. She is an amazing athlete, and it's a shame there aren't a couple more girls on her team who are just as passionate. You are right that she can't carry the entire team. I hope she will come to understand that, and just continue to do her best and feel good about herself.
Wishing you a relaxing weekend!
So sorry your gd took the loss so hard. She works very hard and I know she was disappointed. We try not to eat large meals also. I hope the lab work will help Jim.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite LR songs. I have to giggle...my late mom was blind and each time she would hear LR sing this song, mother would call her a man!!! (you know what a deep voice Linda has)
I love your page background today. Pretty. Sure hope the dr. can help your hubby feel better. Does he take any supplements?
ReplyDeleteRed Lobster has such great food, it's easy to over-do. We're the same way here... at home we don't eat much, but when we go out we always seem to stuff ourselves. Not good.
Poor little Aryn... sounds like she's giving each game 200% and when they lose, her emotions crash.
Have a great day.
Awww..I'm sorry to hear about Aryn feeling so bad about the loss. All you can do is let her vent because, like you said, she is 14 years old and they take everything so seriously. I haven't been to Red Lobster in forever. I always loved going there when they have their all you can eat shrimp deal...yum!
