I am sure you would like me to use the "wordless Wednesday" as it is intended, but I just cant do it.
Aryn's team lost to the district leader, and she scored 18 points. She is a second half player, which means she comes alive in the second half of the game and scores most of her points then. The team was within 4 points but somehow, the others got ahead and they couldn't come back. Their day will come....!
I hate to even post this, but want my friends here to know, my epidural procedure didn't work. I thought it had for a few days, but as of yesterday, I could feel my back going downhill again. I will just live taking my pain pills and using pain patches, etc. Unless I literally cannot get out of bed, I will not have surgery. Enuf said!
Moving on from the gloom and doom to positive things....church tonight, I have lost 6 pounds, my 11 year old granddaughter ran up to us at the game last night and hugged both Jim and I and said "I love you", then ran off again! Love that.
Oh Linda, I am so darn sorry about the epidural! You had a few really good days, and I was so hopeful. So, the doctor says no more? Surgery is your only recourse? I'm glad that you can take pain meds and get some relief from the patches, but living with pain is no fun - it is actually exhausting. Your knee surgery worked. Perhaps the back surgery will too. Trusting your doctor is half the battle, and it sounds like you have a good one. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Aryn on the 18 points! That's two more than she scored in her last game, I think! Those "I love you" moments are precious, indeed!
Sorry to hear you have problems again with pain. My prayers continue for you. I know surgery is a huge desicion but there are people who have had success , my next door neighbor who is retired had back surgery. He works in his beautiful yard and garden and says it really helped him . He's my grand kids pal they love to visit him when they are over . He's a good guy he helped build the ladder for their climbing tree and a picknic table for them and a bird house :) I'm thinking he is in his 70s he used to be our mailman. I certainly pray comfort for you and God's best. Congrats to your grand daughter! Love & prayers, Cheryl
ReplyDeleteOh Linda..I am so sorry that the epidural didn't help you. I am go to be praying so hard for you.
ReplyDeleteThat's a bummer that Aryn's team lost but you are right..their day will come! How is she feeling? That was so precious of your granddaughter to run up and kiss you and say I love you..doesn't that just melt your heart!
Oh, Linda... so sorry the epidural didn't work. We all had hopes of you being pain free.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Aryn.. she still did good. Next year will be even better. She's such a great player.
Those sudden hugs from the grandkids are so special. Makes you warm all over.
You take care.
Hi Linda,
ReplyDeleteSorry that your pain returned. Pray about the surgery and let God help you make the decision. Living in pain isn't any fun. Congrats to your grand daughter...can't win them all but just do the best we can.
I'm sorry to hear the epidural didn't work. I hope you have some pain relief soon. Your granddaughter has done a great job. It's wonderful to be surrounded by loved ones and especially touching when they reaffirm that love. Hugs u
