Good Monday Morning!  I am thankful that my eyes opened to be alive and able to do something productive today.  I slept good, feel rested and my attitude has had a nice adjustment as well.

Church was good yesterday as usual and we had many visitors.   The Pastor spoke to us about "the greatest of these is love".    Love comes in many forms, physical, spiritual and mentally and to make our homes and lives what God wants, we have to incorporate all three.  A good reminder for all of us, every day, in everything we do or say.

How much is gasoline in your area?  I saw $3.54 yesterday and by summertime, it will easily be $4.00.  We will need to decide between food at the grocery or gas for the car because we wont be able to afford both.  What has brought this increase?  Sign of the times?

The cruise ship has landed; the President has given us his plans for his next 4 years; a country star commits suicide; the Oscars are coming up; and on and on and on.  Several years ago I stopped listening to and watching news because the media blows everything out of proportion and goes on and on about something until you are sick of hearing it.  I may have to make this same commitment again.  I can't control it, but I can sure stop listening to it.  God is the only one in control of this old world and me, and I need to lean on Him more.

I need to get busy and do laundry, run the vaccum and move a little furniture around.  Hope you have a wonderful day and week ahead.

  1. Good morning, Linda. I'm so glad to see that you got some good rest and feel better this morning! The news sure can bring you down, can't it. Our gasoline jumped from $3.45 a week ago, to between $3.65 and $3.79, here. Crazy high. Obama said we should be paying $5.00 a gallon, and it looks like that's where it's headed. So much for helping the middle class. Ha! Well, we're stuck and it is what it is. I got my laundry done, and the ironing, yesterday. That feels good! Have a good day, my friend!

  2. A good night's sleep is wonderful medicine.
I leave the news on in another room and only watch if I happen to hear something that interests me.
Last week our gas was $3.65. Kind of scared to look anymore. Frivolous trips are no longer taken.

  4. Gas is around $3.70 here..I never understand why it goes up. I used to blame George Bush because in my mixed up mind I thought he had something to do with it because of his investments in the oil companies..I'm embarrassed to say that I thought that! I know better now, thank goodness. I don't watch the news as much as I used to. I look at the headlines when I get on the computer but other than that I stay away because it is not good for blood pressure..LOL.
