Good Morning!

I will have my grandson, Jesse with me today.  His babysitter is going to a couples retreat with my church, so we get to enjoy him today.

Also today, I need to make some deviled eggs and have them at church by 4 pm.  A small church in my area's Pastor died yesterday and they will have his funeral today.  My church volunteered to make some food to have there for after the funeral.

For my Catholic friends, I know this is a sad day, but from what I gather on the news, this Pope isn't well physically and has stepped down from being the leader of the Catholic Church. 


     One Sunday after church, a Mom asked her very young daughter what the lesson was about.  The daughter answered, "Don't be scared, you'll get your quilt."

     Needless to say, the Mom was perplexed. Later in the day, the pastor stopped by for tea and the Mom asked him what that morning's Sunday school lesson was about. He said "Be not afraid, thy comforter is coming."

    Cute little ditty, there, Linda! LOL We needed a quilt this morning. It is quite chilly here in Central Florida!

    Have fun with Jesse - I know you will. He is a doll! Nice that your church is preparing food for your sister church. I love your new background and notice this is one I've not seen before, so will have to check out her site.

      You know me and new backgrounds. Every day is a challenge of sorts. This new computer finds them in a different way, so I have many to choose from. I wish I could tell you where I found it, but don't have a clue!

    I'm sure you had a wonderful time with Jesse! My thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and congregation of the pastor who died. I think it's nice that your church volunteered to provide food for after the funeral.

    I love your new background.
    It's so nice when another church will help when there's a funeral. When my uncle died, his pastor did the funeral, of course, but another church prepared the food for all of us. Christian charity as it should be.
    I hope you have a great day with your little grandson. Bob and I went on a couple's retreat a few years ago and it was fabulous.
