THANKFUL THURSDAY!

I am very thankful that God knows our every move, every feeling, thought and concern.  He knows what we need, when we need it.  I was pretty low yesterday and felt 'lost' as to what to do next.  As He always does, He calmed my fears, gave me peace and today is a better day.  I went to church last night.  On Wednesday nights, we pray for others, their needs, etc.  As the old saying goes and is so true, there is always someone who is worse than you.

I am alive and kickin', maybe not so high, but I am still here.  I have so much to be thankful for, and my whining doesn't help anything.  I do thank each of you, however, for caring and praying...it means a lot.

St. Patrick's Day is coming this weekend, and it is special for a couple of reasons.  My oldest granddaughter, Aryn was born on March 17th, and I am Irish....my maiden name is Murphy!  I am still looking for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and know one day when God calls me home, I will find it there!

What do you get when you cross
poison ivy with a four-leaf clover?
 A rash of good luck!!!

Jim wants to go to a meat company if he is able, to get some hams to cure.  He loves 'country' ham and enjoys curing himself.  Last night he said we would wait to see how he felt, but if good, then we will drive about 30 miles to the company.  (Am praying he is ok, and we can get outside in the sunshine today.)

I have no other news so will leave you today with this-----------

We wont grow on the mountain top - only in the valley!

  1. Good morning, Linda! So glad to hear you are feeling better today. It is hard to drag ourselves through the muck and mire sometimes, but our faith will always lift us up and plant us on firmer ground. Such a blessing!! Prayers will continue!

Hope you get to make that trip today. I haven't had a good slice of cured ham in a long time, and now my mouth is watering for some! So salty and good!

You know that I am also part Irish - Kelly, here - but through the Ancestry.com DNA testing, I learned that I am more German than Irish, but not by much! I'll still claim St. Patrick's Day as my own! LOL

    Hugs & love.

  4. I'm glad your doing better. I've also been down so deep I thought I'd never see the light again... the top of that mountain. But God does bring us through it.
I'm not Irish but I still like St. Patty's Day. Bob is part Irish but only by a tiny bit.
I hope you guys got to go to the meat market.
Hope you're having a good day.
