The physical therapy seems to be helping Jim to some degree. He worked out in the wheelchair some after the therapist left and isn't opposed to it at all. I was afraid he would not give in and sit in it, much less try to wheel around, but he did. Thank you Lord.
He wanted to go to one of our favorite Italian places to eat last night, so off we go. Bless his heart, doing anything outside the house is a chore - for him and me....but I have to keep trying. When I said my night prayers, I asked the Lord to NOT give me patience, because I don't need any more trials or tribulations, but I asked that He just give me strength and peace to care for Jim as long as possible.
Did you guess the title picture was Betty White? You are right and she is still working today and as funny as ever. Born on January 17, 1922, in Oak Park, Illinois. She grew up as the only child of Horace and Tess White, an electrical engineer and a homemaker. When she was two, she moved to Los Angeles with her family. She is an Animal Rights Activist. At 91 she evidently doesn't intend to slow down.

Aryn, my athlete granddaughter is on her way to the University of Kentucky for a basketball showcase for the next 2 days. She has been before and really learned a lot and made new friends as well. Kentucky is a big basketball college........

ReplyDeleteThat's Betty White.... she was so pretty. (I was right!) ** My brother-in-law and his wife just moved back to Ohio after living in AZ for a few yrs. They're now saying they're glad they did. That's just too hot. ** So glad to hear that Jim is doing his exercises. And it's good that he still wants to get out and about, even tho' it's hard for you both. Hopefully his exercises will help him do that. ** I was going to comment the other day about asking God for patience. He makes us patient through tribulations. There is a verse that says that but I can't remember it right now. I'll have to look it up. ** I love the pics of the grandkids. I'd sit with Elizabeth. I like digging too. hahaha

Praise God for a better day for you both! I prayed for you after reading the post about your stomach troubles. I hate stomach problems about the worst because you can't escape the symptoms.
ReplyDeleteI,too, guessed Betty White but had to think a minute. The eyes are what tipped me off. They are still the same - - twinkling with merriment.
Isn't technology wonderful to be able to see what the grands are doing? Our daughter who lives an hour away will text us at least one pic or video a day. It's wonderful.
Betty White was so beautiful! I'm glad Jim is adapting to the wheel chair. Praise God. Your grands appear to be enjoying themselves - at the beach and on the basketball court! We are very hot here, but not in the 100s. The humidity is what gets to me. When it is muggy, it is hard to breathe! Hope you are having a restful evening! Hugs.
