OLDIES, BUT GOODIES!

Good Tuesday morning!  Don't you just love the title picture?  I was surfing the net last night, looking for pictures that I thought might work for my blog and found some of old or to be proper, elderly people.  I found several so you will be seeing them in days to come, but I just loved this one.  They are all dressed up and no where to go!  I don't know if they were laughing inside, but no smiles on the outside.  They brought a smile to me though, and a good way to start a day.

Jim is not much better this morning.  He said he had a 'rough' night, and that can mean many things.  I just keep praying for him and thank each and every one of you for your prayers too.

My granddaughter that is in the basketball tournament in New Orleans, left me a tweet (yes, this old gal tweets too) and told me they won their first game yesterday.  My daughter called and said the other team about wore her team out, but they came out a winner anyway.  As they only had the one game yesterday, they were able to tour the city the rest of the day.

Pat O'Brien's Restaurant

They decided on the Commander's Palace for dinner last night and it looks like they made a wise choice.  I have not heard from them as to whether the food was good or not, but I just bet it was!

Today will be another day of no big plans, physical therapy for Jim, and errands while the therapist is here.

The missions team sent several pictures yesterday and it seems all is going just fine in Guyana.

When you pray today, thank God for all that you have, and how blessed you are.  We just have no idea how other people in other countries live every day vs. how we have it so good.  The young people are holding Vacation Bible Schools this week, and our Pastor is preaching in tent revivals at night.  So far, 60 people have made professions of faith, so God is working through our team.  Praise the Lord!

Enjoy the day!

  2. I don't tweet; I do text...and that was a big step for me.
    Hugs,

  3. Prayers lifted for Jim, and for your mission team. How great that your granddaughter's team won, and that they are finding time to enjoy New Orleans, too! I love the "elderly" ladies and look forward to seeing more fun photos that you have found for us to enjoy! Love & hugs, my friend!

  4. I love your photo. I can imagine what those ladies would say. They look like real characters.
Praise God and may He bless the mission team. The church we're going to now has a mission team that just came back from the jungles of Brazil. They told stories last Sunday of the things they saw and experienced... things they'll never forget. We are so blessed in our country and I'm thankful for what God has given us.
Congratulations to your gr-daughter. She and her team are doing a fantastic job. I'd love to see them come home winners, more so than they already are.
I tried Twitter but could never get the hang of it.
Prayers for Jim and you continue. I keep praying tomorrow will be better for him. ♥

  5. I love the photo of the ladies, I can just see them getting up to sing and do a little tap dancing along with it. LOL

I'm so sorry Jim isn't improving more quickly then what he seems to be doing. I know as we get older it certainly does take longer for our health to improve.

I still have a few dishes in the sink, but they won't go anyplace until i get out there to finish them. Want to run to the drive through to pick up a bag of ice, I'm lazy, plus we like the little pieces of ice with the holes in the center. It's 6:45, daughter doesn't get off work until 7:30 and then another 30 mins to get home. So she eats then, thank goodness for microwaves.

You take care of yourself to. Don't want to let yourself get run down.
