On my blog yesterday, I asked for 5 wishes you might have, and through your answers, I learned a little more about you. Today, I am asking something similar.....tell me 2 things about you that I might not already know. Something that will help all of us know you better, and in so doing, know how to respond to your posts, help if you ask, or pray with you about. I will tell you right off, it isn't easy! lol
My 2 -
I am OCD to a degree. I want things in place; example: when I take my shoes off, I want them lined with either the wall, or next to a piece of furniture. I don't just kick them off and let them land where they will. Organization is a flaw or a gift? I want things in order in all areas of my life.
Secondly, I have been early all my life - early for appointments, early for church, early when I was still in the work world. If you tell me to come for dinner at 6, I will arrive at 5:45. Habit, good or bad! The only times in my life that I wasn't early, is when I had my 3 children. My first was 3 days late, the second was a month late, and the last one 5 days late!
So, come on....share something about you that we may not know and will help us understand where you are coming from in your blogs! Happy Hump Day!
I grew up as an Air Force Brat and I cannot stand to eat peas!
ReplyDeleteI love organization too. I get such satisfaction out of cleaning out a drawer or cupboard and seeing everything in its place. I also tend to be early for things. I usually get to work 15 minutes early every day. However, my husband is even worse and I have to hold him back!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting. Thank you for sharing those tidbits about yourself. I think it takes great courage to open up and tell the world personal things about yourself. And now you want me to do it too? Wow! OK.
ReplyDelete1) My father made it very clear when I was young that he didn't want to be married or have a family. He left when I was young. For many, many years I thought it was my fault and all men were the same... until I met my husband.
2) I'm a moody person... not as bad as I used to be, but still people never know what to expect from me. I've lost "friends" because they couldn't take my mood swings. They never took the time to know me and what was in my heart.
I do appreciate any of my friends that will share things about themselves....I know it is hard at times. I think it helps us all to know each other better and understand the things we post from time to time. When you cant see someone face to face, the words we type might mean something entirely different, if we knew each other better.
ReplyDeleteHI Linda!!!
ReplyDelete1. I have a dry sense of humor, most people don't get it, lol.
2. I can not draw a straight line even with a ruler!
PS. You & I share alot of attributes.:)
I would love to be able to be more OCD then i am - but I have three people and a dog that keep me from it! lol
ReplyDeleteI used to be early when I was younger - I am a little late now that I am older.
Sandie
I can hardly look at that photo of the pencils, pens, etc.
ReplyDeleteI want to reach up and STRAIGHTEN that pencil soooo bad.
What have you done!! That image will be with me for days!!
OK.
You asked me to share something that you didn't know and that would help you understand where I am coming from in my blog.
Hmmmm.
Thinking....
I am a devilish type of girl (well, I guess I'm a woman now, eh. I'm 62 years old, but I still think of myself as a girl.) But, devilish I am. I will play a prank on my friends and family in a heart beat. Yep. That's me. In a nutshell.
Another thing that you may not know about me is I used to be a beekeeper with my Daddy. Sweet, eh?
Love,
Jackie
1. I do not like being in large crowds or among a lot of strangers. I break out in hives sometimes is I know I am going to be in either of these situations. This all started after the death of my 8 year old daughter, it has been a mystery to me.
ReplyDelete2. I have a tendency to be bossy and controlling sometimes and have to constantly work on that. I am blessed to have an understanding husband who knows how I grew up and he forgives me very easily for all my hang-ups and short comings.
I can always use prayer and appreciate all who pray for me. Without answered prayer I would not be doing as well as I am today. All of my blog friends are included in all my prayers.
Hugs and blessings sweet Linda!
1. I am huge procrastinator. If something does not have a deadline I usually put it off.
ReplyDelete2. Prayer time is the most important part of my day. I spend about 40 minutes each morning saying prayers. It's my alone time with God. :-)
The artist in me affects all other areas of my life - I like things in order and organized, but the artistic side of me likes things artistically askew.
ReplyDeleteI am super sensitive, I feel all emotions very deeply and I cannot hide my emotions tho I often wish I could. I am very passionate about people and things that are important to me and because of this I am often misunderstood.
