WORSHIP!

It is a privilege to be able to worship in the place of my choice, with the people I choose and not fear I will be arrested or even worse, killed.   I pray you will do the same.

It is still raining - so what else is new?  Really nothing.  We did finally 'swim' out of the house yesterday and drove through town.  We were amazed at the number of people out in the rain, walking from store to store.  I guess a lot of them were on vacation and weren't going to allow the weather to dictate where they could go and what they could see in our town.  We went on across the bridge to a Walgreens.  They have the post cards I need for my 'postcrossing' and I purchased 20 to have on hand.

Back to our neighborhood and to Taco Bell for supper.  Yuk!  What an exciting day.

What is the meaning of the pyramid with the eye at the top that appears on the back of U.S. one-dollar bills?



Apparently, the U.S. Treasury office gets this question quite often -- it appears in its list of frequently asked questions. The pyramid is part of the Great Seal of the United States. The Great Seal was first used on the reverse of the one-dollar Federal Reserve note in 1935. According to the State Department, which is the official keeper of the Seal, the pyramid symbolizes strength and durability. The pyramid appears unfinished because it means that the United States will always "grow, improve, and build." The eye is the "All-Seeing Eye," suggesting the importance of divine guidance in favor of the American cause.
