ANIMALS!

Did you have a Dad, Granddad or maybe an Uncle that would make these animals for you with their hands? I did - my Uncle was a big, tall man with great big hands, and he would make them for me from time to time, and I remember them so well.  I tried doing it, but my little hands just wouldn't cooperate.  Memories!

I went back to church last night and when I came out, I called Jim to see if he wanted me to get something to eat and of all things, he wanted soft tacos from Taco Bell!  So off I went and he did eat 2 of them.  For lunch he wanted nothing but 2 pieces of cinnamon toast and a glass of milk.  It is a mystery every single day as to what to cook for him.

On the way home, a big, black SUV pulled out in front of me, and I had to slam on my brakes and almost went off into a ditch, and he just kept going.  I was scared and the rest of the evening wasn't too good, nor did I sleep very well.  Whew!

Today I take my granddaughter to another volleyball game and it is about as far north, toward Knoxville, as it can be.  I leave the extreme west of town, drive up the mountain to get her, and then to Ooltewah (Ool - te - wah - Indian word) to their high school.  Her Dad will come when he gets off work, to take her home, so I don't have to go back up the mountain.

The remainder of the week includes Sunday School Class Meeting tomorrow, my primary care physician on Wednesday and church, free Thursday and then to the cardiac physician on Friday for me, and Jim to the pain clinic by Murphy.  I am tired just thinking about all that!

I received 2 more postcards........
This is from a 24 year old guy, who is a
student  at the University.  Not exactly
sure what this picture is???
China
The one from Houston, Texas is from a
25 year old lady.  She has been to Nashville
and Memphis and said I should visit Texas!
I wrote and told her I had been all over
her State, and even had relatives
living there.

  2. Thank goodness you had time to slam on the brakes and could control your car. Stuff like that happens all the time and the people drive off, oblivious to the chaos they left behind them. Your Angel was right there for you!

I had uncles and grandpas, but none of them did shadow figures with their hands for me. I've seen some performed, though, that are incredible! Lucky you to have that fun memory!

Tackle your busy week one day at a time, Linda. Don't look ahead and maybe it won't be so overwhelming. Love & hugs!

  4. I've not had anyone do the shadows for me, but I remember us kids trying to do them ourselves. That created a lot of laughter. ** Those crazy, thoughtless drivers are dangerous. I'm so glad you weren't hurt. ** The post cards are always pretty to see. ** Sounds like a busy week ahead for you. You take care. ♥

  6. I don't remember where I learned to do those animals but I did them for all the foster children and my children. Thank the Lord you were able to stop and had good breaks. That is scary when things like that happen. Those soft tacos sound good although I prefer the crispy ones and hubby likes the soft. Hugs and blessings!!
