Anybody recognize these pink goodies?  Some may still use them, but somehow I doubt it.  They have probably gone by the wayside!

I had naturally curly hair and never used them, but most of my friends did back in school days and even beyond.  When I saw them, it made me smile thinking of the good times, so had to share.

Hope your weekend will be what you want it to be.  We don't have much planned.  I am going to my granddaughter, Aryn's first volleyball game.  She played in the 8th grade, but didn't last year, so she decided she would give it another go round!  The game is at 9:15 and the school where they are playing isn't too far away.  Jim doesn't enjoy volleyball, so he said he would just sleep in, and for me to wake him when I got home.

He had a bad beginning yesterday, but as the day went on, he seemed to snap back, and by the time the therapist came and left, he was in good spirits and wanted to go for a ride and get something to eat.  We rode to our favorite Italian restaurant and he ate really good, and we then rode on to the Chickamauga Battlefield and went through there.  We saw 7 deer and they were heavy with 'child'.  It is always so much fun to see the babies and it wont be too long before they will begin showing up.  We love going there, it is so peaceful and so lush.

With no more news, I will leave you with this..........

When you dress up in the morning, don’t forget to put on a smile
and don’t be ashamed of your sense of humor!
Why not try it right now even if you're all by yourself.

  1. I remember those "pink goodies". My hair was so fine it got tangled while I slept and getting them out the next morning was torture; needless to say, I didn't use them very often and was thrilled when straight hair came in fashion- no my mother, she always called it stringy.

  5. I would sometimes use them on the daughters hair, or use spoolies, do you remember those, they were rubber and after you wound hair around them, you would flip the one side over the other part to hold them in place. Girls hated them. LOL So most of the time our girls went around with straight hair. Sounds like a wonder day eating at an Italian restaurant and then seeing the deer. Have a wonderful week-end. Looks like more rain here.

  6. Oh how I remember those "pink goodies". I had long blonde hair and I always envied the girls with curls. So I had many sleepless nights, trying to make curls. :)
It sounds like yesterday was a good day. That would be so much fun seeing the battlefield and the deer. I remember one day I got so excited when I saw a buck and 3 does on the country road in front of me. I stopped the car and just sat there and watched them. They're so pretty.
I hope you both have a good day and the volleyball game was fun. ♥

Thanks for the smile...and the reminder to share my smile.
    Hugs and love,

  8. You can still buy those pink foam hair rollers at Dollar Tree stores. I keep them on hand just to control stubborn strands that won't lay down.

  9. Oh, yes I remember those. I tried using them and many other gadgets to try and do something with my hair. I have natural wave and some curl and it goes its own way no matter what I do. Glad Jim got to feeling and doing better. Hope you are doing well today sweet Linda. Hugs
