CLASS MEETING!

Yesterday wasn't busy enough, so I thought I would take another stab at it today!  I am going at noon, to my Sunday School Class Meeting, which is also a meal.  I am taking a carrot-raisin salad.  I left the volleyball game last night, went to grocery to buy the ingredients, came home and was making it at 9 last night.  Whew!

I guess if I keep moving, my old bones and muscles will keep working, right?  I was so tired last night, I literally collapsed and thankfully slept all night without even having to get up one time!  Thank you Lord for those small things.

I received a postcard from Latvia yesterday.  The young lady described her card as recognizing a 'Tall Ship Race' in her country and said it was a wonderful regalia!

She speaks 5 languages and loves collecting cards and has been doing so since 1989.  People in other countries seem to always speak more than 1 language, and it is all I can do, to speak English!

I need to get off of this computer and get busy, so I leave you with this thought...................................

Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls.

  2. 5 different languages? Wow. I'm with you.... English is all I can handle. I always thought I'd love to learn a second language and even tried with audio disks for Spanish, but it was too much work. :)
I hope you enjoy your lunch with your church family.
    Take care. ♥

  3. You are collecting cards from some very interesting people! I agree with you about the languages. I think we Americans think everyone speaks English, so why bother learning another language. I wish I could speak Spanish and Italian, now - later in life and with no real reason to start at this late age.

Your carrot salad will be a hit, I'm sure. I think you are right about keeping the old bones moving. Sometimes when I stop, it is so much harder to get going again! LOL

    Wishing you a good day!

  4. I speak one language: Southern. All others are inferior. [lol]

Nice postcard. I don't think anyone sends postcards anymore. I'm so old fashioned I still put pen to paper and send letters. In this age of government Totalitarianism, it's more private that way.

I'm afraid to slow down. At my age, I might quit moving altogether!

    God bless.
