HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL!

Thank you to every single prayer that you prayed for me yesterday and today.  I thought I was having a heart attack and was taken to the hospital and admitted for tests.

I got up, had my two cups of coffee, and was sleepy feeling, so sat down in my recliner.  My left arm started hurting and it went up to my neck and lower part of my jaw.  I knew enough to know it 'could' be the beginning of a heart attack, so went and took an aspirin.  Sat back down and I got shaky, clamy, and the pain was still there, so my son called 911 and they came and transported me immediately.

They did the usual lab work, EKG, blood pressure check in the ER and then transferred me to a Clinical Decision Unit to stay for overnight.  They did EKG's all night, drew blood on and off all night and I was put on monitors.  This morning I was taken for a nuclear stress test and more lab drawn.

I praise the Lord and thank Him that every single thing came back normal; cardiac enzymes, blood sugars, chest xrays, stress test and I am feeling much better.  As it turns out, the diagnosis was extreme stress and anxiety.  I do have a holter monitor on for 48 hours and will have an echocardiogram next week, then a return visit to the cardiologist to finalize everything.  So again, thank you for praying and caring about me...whether you knew I was gone or not!

I think rather than try to come back, read and comment, I will read and play catch up on your blogs as I can, but not comment on them.....just begin anew in the morning.

  3. Linda, I didn't know what was going on, but did miss you and almost picked up the phone to call you today. I knew something had to be wrong, with you absent from FB and Blogger. So happy to know that you are okay and so happy to know our prayers were answered. Praise God, and AMEN!

  5. So happy all of your test, so far, are ok. I will also be having some test, due to the fact, I will have some minor surgery on the 30th.But I am so happy your may be nothing more then stress and anxiety, sometimes a little pill can help that. Also sometimes less coffee. I've never had a habit of drinking coffee, mostly all I drink is water. Hang in there, will be thinking of you.

  12. I am so thankful this turned out OK. With the scary ecomonics, there's a lot of people living on high anxiety these days. But "this too shall pass ..." and one day, things should be better. There's always 2016. :) Prayers for a rapid recovery and no more scary moments.
