STATE BOUND!

This blog probably wont interest many of you, but for me and mine, it is and was an exciting time in the life of one little girl.

Signal Mountain Middle/High School, won the sub-State last night and they are now State bound. The school team has won the district and even the sub-Region before but have never gone this far. The school is only 4 years old.

They played a rival across town, and ironically enough, it was the same school I graduated from 54 years ago!  They had to win 3 games out of 5 and they did just that!  A more excited group of girls I haven't seen in a long time.  (Aryn has the grey shirt on and is a little happy don't you think?)

The girls on this team really love each other and they work as a TEAM on and off the court.  They all sent messages to the other sport teams, and school friends, parents, etc. to come out and support the team, and support they did.  The bleachers were full and it was LOUD, which is what they wanted.

One of the girls that plays on the team (# 7) has already gotten a scholarship to The University of Florida, and when this team would score a point, the crowd would clap with the "gator clap" for her!  It was just an all around good night for this young people and I was so glad to get to see it all.  Jim was under the weather and couldn't go, but I called and gave him 'blow by blow'!

This will be a short blog this morning.  I have to go to hospital to have blood work for my upcoming surgery.

Be well, be blessed and TGIF!
