This past weekend, there was a big event in Chattanooga. It is called "Head of the Hooch" and is a rowing competition. It draws thousands of people to our town and some come from as far as Oregon, etc. One of my cousins daughter goes to a private girls school here in town, and she was in one of the boats that competed. Lots of activity and fun.
I am going with my daughter as she has an MRI of her back this morning. She is worried and I thought maybe someone to be there or talk to, might help. Even though she is grown with a family of her own, sometimes we just need our "Mom". Say a little prayer that it is just a pulled muscle and not disk problems.
When we love God, we make it our aim to please Him who first loved us (1 John 4:19) and to serve Him with pure motives (Prov. 16:2; 1 Cor. 4:5). The best reward will be to be with Him!
In all I think and say and do,
I long, O God, to honor You;
But may my highest motive be
To love the Christ who died for me.
Saying a prayer for your daughter, that it is nothing serious. Glad your hand is healing well!
ReplyDeleteLooking good Linda!! I am so glad your on the mend. Sending prayers up for your daughter. BTW, where we lived in Alabama, Chattanooga was only 2 1/2-3 hr drive, we use to spend alot of time there. Thought for sure that's where we would move...but you know..God had other plans. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that your hand is healing! And I said a prayer just now for your daughter! Have a wonderful Tuesday, Linda!
ReplyDeleteThat hand has to feel so much better with that big bandage off and only a small brace to wear now!! Praise God!!
ReplyDeleteLet us know how your daughter's MRI comes out. Of course, they never tell you right away.... I said a prayer that all will be well.
Love your background today and that gorgeous photo of the fall colors. Wow. My old boss, Dan, posted pictures on FB of the Head of the Hootch event. He had a good perspective from the Hunter!
Hope that every day is better and better with your hand.
ReplyDeleteIt is healing nicely.
To have one's Mama with them is a blessing...no matter how old one is. The comfort that Mama can bring is priceless. As my Mama is in the golden years of her life, I count every day that I can see her and be with her a blessing. It is a blessing for both of us as we love each other dearly.
Prayers that the MRI turns up nothing major for your daughter.
We just left those Smoky Mountains yesterday. They are indeed beautiful. I always hate to leave our home there....but we will return in the spring. Beautiful colors in your photo. Thank you so much for sharing it with me.
Love,
Jackie
