LATE BIRTHDAY!

LITTLE BOYS, SPECIAL BOYS, GRAND-BOYS!  Gotta love them!  My son had told me on my birthday that he was going to cook a meal for me instead of buying a present. For those of you that have recently become my blog friend, might not know that my son is an excellent cook, had his own restaurant for several years and a concession stand after that.

He prepared my favorites - chicken casserole, 7 layer salad, hot rolls, and homemade mint ice cream.  It was delicious, to say the least.  Before we began to eat, my 6 year old grandson Jesse, said, I will pray. And pray he did.  I wish I had taped it because when he said Amen, all of us were crying.  The jest of it was that he loved me, and was happy to celebrate my birthday with me, and family.  It was much more, but it was a blessing that I truly needed just at that time.  God bless boys!

And that isn't all.  Murphy had called earlier in the day and told me to mark next Tuesday on my calendar and not plan anything.  Of course I asked why, and he said, just please do it.  I did.  I found out before we ate last night when they gave me my birthday card.  He had made an appointment at noon next Tuesday, which is ironically 11=12=13, for me and him to go and make a blown glass Christmas ornament.  He said Mom, not only will we blow the glass, pick the color, but our breath will be captured in the ornament forever. Another one of those moments.

So you know why my header is about little boys.

  5. You are truly blessed with a wonderful family. I like blown glass but never considered that it would also perserve a person's actual breath. Very cool. My husband could be a gourmet cook too. I'm just a good cleaner upper. *lol* Be sure to take lots of photos of the happy event. ~:)
