Now, the 'fat' pants! I am ready as I have some sweat pants with elastic in the waist, so I can eat without being afraid my pants would get too tight...lol

LOL. Thanks Linda for the laugh. My son is the same way as your daughter. I/we are big on traditions..hopefully when he is married and has children of his own, he/they will have traditions too. Love the postcards!!! Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon, well at least lunch time here, and I need to get busy and do some laundry, then empty all the trash cans in the house, since tomorrow is trash pick up.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to use your 15 reasons, but I notice there are 18, so I change it to 18 reasons. We have some traditions we use every year, like the green bean casserole, I've gotten so I don't even like it anymore. But I still make it for the ones that do like it and say it wouldn't be Thanksgiving without it. LOL
Going to use your 15
Oh my gosh... that's so funny! Thank you for the chuckle today. We also have those tried and true family traditions when it comes to the Thanksgiving meal. And my kids don't want any of them changed. The only thing I would love to change = build on a big dining room so I could invite people who are alone that day.
ReplyDeleteI like the new postcards, especially the painting on the one from Ukraine.
You have a great day.
Our traditions have gone by the wayside, unfortunately. Joe's family did a more Italian/American type Thanksgiving meal, while mine was very much traditional American. We joined the two for a few years, but now we don't have family for Thanksgiving, so I mainly just make turkey and the usual American sides - potatoes, yams, dressing/stuffing, green beans, pickles, etc. There will only be five of us this year. :(
ReplyDeleteGreat postcards, and good chuckles!!
Good list! I like the postcards too.
ReplyDeleteWe eat the same food every year too- nice traditions.
Love the sweatshirt on your header!! I gotta find my fat pants. We will have a eat-a-thon weekend. The kids and grandkids will be here from Thursday to Sunday.
ReplyDeleteThe 18 reasons made me Laugh Out Loud!! :) We're going low-carb this year but it should still be tasty. Using mashed califlower for the taters (honestly, it's hard to tell the difference) and no dressing. Hubby can't have such things anymore. I'd rather keep him than the tradition of heavy carb's.
ReplyDeleteHope your hand / wrist are completely healed now.
God bless ~:)
I find that my family wants the exact same thing at Thanksgiving every year, too. And that is a good thing!!
ReplyDeleteThat means that what we are preparing is delish...and makes the family happy.
My Michigan daughter is doing Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday to accommodate the other parents who are leaving for Florida. On Thanksgiving I will probably be sitting home alone.
