THEN AND NOW!

Saying thank you doesn't seem much, but without those of the past and those serving in the military now, we wouldn't live in the free country that we do. God bless each and every one.

Having trouble again with my cat not 'doing her business' in the liter box.  Our routine hasn't changed at all.  It is almost like she is punishing me because she knows it upsets me.  I guess I will try another brand of liter and see if that helps.  Her food hasn't changed.  I have moved her to the utility room at night since I had the hand surgery.  I was afraid she might do something to mess that up, so I put her out there.  She has a bed, her food and water and liter box all at her disposal but she continues to torment me.  Any helpful hints?

My Pastor's message last night was from 1 Timothy 2, which tells us the role of men and women . As he said, it isn't always a message that some like, but it is Biblical and if you believe that is God's Word, how can we do otherwise.

I don't own a coat.  Not even a jacket or coat type sweater, so today I am on the hunt for one.  I had ordered one online, but you, me, and the rest of my blog buddies could all fit in it at one time! Somehow I believe we are going to have some cold weather this winter and I want to be ready if and when it comes.

Advice of the Day.....

Evening red and morning gray, two sure signs of one fine day.

There is no better month in the year to cut wood than November.

To cure a wart, find a piece of chalk, rub it on the wart, and throw it away.

You can not put an old head on young shoulders.

Apply lavender oil to the temples and back of the neck to cure a headache.

Keep spider plants, chrysanthemums, or golden pothos on your desk to reduce indoor pollutants.

The pure and simple truth is rarely pure and never simple.

To forget a wrong is the best revenge.

  1. I like that last tidbit - "To forget a wrong is the best revenge."

I wish I had more advice for you regarding Callie's litter box problems. Lucy was giving us fits for awhile, but we haven't had an 'accident' for awhile now. I know that Vinny was intimidating her, and that seems to be smoothing out some. It is discouraging! If we could only talk with them!! She might just be mad because you put her in the utility room? I don't own a coat either, Linda, but do have a couple of light jackets and a few sweaters. Let us know what you find!!

  2. We had trouble with our last cat doing that when she had a urinary tract infection.
    Good advice!
Hope your coat hunt goes well!

  3. I haven't a clue about the cat. We have a big dog and was house trained (or was it he trained us? Cause he rings the bell to go out, lol) when he was 8 weeks old. ANYWAYS..love the advice. Good luck on the shopping trip..Blessings

  4. Here in Ohio all the stores are full of coats and jackets. I hope you find one soon. You'll need it this week. :(
There are several passages in the Bible that doesn't make people happy but they're truth and God's instructions to us. We heard one this past Sunday.
I don't have any pets so I can't give you any pointers. I hope the problem corrects itself soon.
    You have a good day.

  6. Cats do have a way of "getting back" at you....I know that for a fact. I don't know what she's 'thinking'....but it sounds as though she is letting you know that she is not happy with something. I don't know what. If only cats could talk... :))

  7. If your cat stopped using the litter box after moving her to the utility room at night then I would say she is upset about being in there. It could be an infection sometimes they will not always go in the little box if they have a UTI. If it is no an infection then she is for sure not liking something but how you will know what it is I haven't a clue.

I don't own a coat either, don't really like them but I am getting older and get colder now so may have to buy one myself soon. Wishing you all the best in finding a coat you like, that is comfortable and keeps you warm.

Thanks, for visiting our blog. Hugs and blessings sweet Linda!
