We stayed home and inside most of the day yesterday. About 6 PM we decided to ride downtown to see the sites, and then headed back toward our area, and side-tracked to a couple of sub-divisions to see the decorations.
I suppose a lot of you already have your tree up and decorated, but if you don't, and plan to have a live tree, like we do, The Old Farmer's Almanac gives a suggestion for an indoor tree. What kind of pine is best if you want to keep your Christmas tree potted and in the house after Christmas?
A Norfolk Island pine would be the best choice as a potted plant. The Norfolk pine is tropical and can be kept indoors through several seasons. Bring it out to the patio in summers. Check with a local florist or nursery for the best Norfolk pine varieties for your area.
God loves us so much that He made a way for us to go to Heaven when we die. I pray you know Him and have accepted His gift this season.
Good Sunday morning, my friend!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!
Wonderful post, wonderful new blog background..Bitterly cold here, only 21*, windchill near 10*. Expecting that winter storm soon. We wore gloves/mittens, scarves, hats & heavy jackets for the 2 mile drive to church..the car doesn't warm up that fast, LOL. Blessings
ReplyDeleteYour blog is beautiful....and I thank you for the sweet spirit of love and kindness....not only at Christmas, but all during the year.
ReplyDeleteLove to you,
Jackie
So thankful for His gift! It is cold where we are too so am also thankful for those cozy gloves : )
ReplyDeleteI like live trees. They always smell so good and it is fun to plant them after the season. Maybe next year we can do that again.
ReplyDeleteYes, God does loves us so much! That's why it's so important to tell everyone about the love of Jesus Christ that they may be saved.
God bless. ~:)
Like you new blog background, love your message.
ReplyDeleteI do love a live tree, but haven't had one in years!
ReplyDeleteI had a Norfolk Pine years and years ago. They are pretty, and would make a nice decorated tree for a small space!
ReplyDeleteGlad you and Jim were able to get out and enjoy the sites and lights!! Your background today is striking!!
Blessed Sunday to you. We don't have our tree up yet, hoped to put it up today but didn't make it.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is so pretty today. I hope you had a great day. This cold system is a tough one for so many. I can't keep my hands warm either. I wore my winter coat, gloves and heavy scarf to church this morning.

You take care, my friend.
An indoor tree is a neat idea.
ReplyDeleteHope your Sunday was wonderful Linda. No tree or any decorations here may not put up any this year since the family will not be here. Have a great and blessed week. Hugs
