It is a soggy day in Chattanooga.  Forecast is rain all day, then blow out.  I am hoping it does.  I can handle cold if the sun is shining, but grey days, rainy days, make a blue mood, bluer!

Aryn made the Best of Preps all tournament, and scored 32 points in their last game, which they won.  If you knew her, you would wonder how she does what she does.  She NEVER brags or even mentions what she does when she plays. She just works hard at practices, listens to her coach, and has fun.  To me, that is what she should be and do.

SIGNAL MOUNTAIN 52, TYNER 32: The Lady Eagles raced out to a 19-8 lead

after one quarter and never looked back en route to this 20-point win.

Aryn Sanders was the leading scorer for Signal Mountain with 27 points

Final game of BOP -Aryn Sanders had a memorable day as she

scored 32 points to lead Signal Mountain past East Hamilton by a 51-41

She is second from the left.  5 of these girls and Aryn, play on a

summer travel AAU team.

Yes, I am a happy Nana.  She is not only good in sports, but she

maintains an 'A' average and is in the honors classes.  She loves

her family.

Ok, I will hush about her.  We had a great time yesterday at

Jennifer and Kelly's house, with our family gifting.  My son,

Murphy cooked an awesome breakfast, then we had the chinese

exchange with the adults, and that is always fun and lots of

laughter.  The little ones then opened their gifts. Everybody

seemed pleased and had a good time.  My oldest daughter

surprised me with several gifts, plus I got a pancake maker as my

chinese gift.  A new pocketbook, diamond earrings, the pancake

maker, a 'to go' cup with 'Nana' on it, and the red pouch is for

baking potatoes in microwave!

Jim and I both felt bad late yesterday and I am not sure if he will try to go to church or not.  But, in any event, I pray you have a blessed day and can worship our Lord.

  1. Congratulations to Aryn. She's an amazing athlete but still stays humble. Quite a girl.
I hope Jim felt good enough to go to church with you.
Those are some nice gifts your family gave you. I've seen those bags for baked potatoes on TV and have thought about ordering one. Maybe you can give a review after you've tried it?
Have a good day, my friend.

  5. Aryn is a great athlete and I never get tired of hearing you 'brag' about her and your other grandchildren! Glad you had a good breakfast and gift exchange with the family! What a nice tradition. Hope you and Jim are both feeling better this afternoon. Let me know how the pouch for baking potatoes in the microwave works. I've been seeing it advertised on TV. Love & hugs!

  6. I like the Swedish Proverb at the top. It's all excellent advice.

Add my Congratulations to Aryn too! You Go Girl.

Sorry y'all are still not well. It seems like so many are sick this year. Prayers from here too that you'll both be 100% soon.

    God bless. ~:)
