I am almost like Garfield -- gotta have that coffee first thing in the morning. Being a cat lover, I always enjoyed his antics, but this one is tops!
We did go to the ballgame, and sad to say, they lost. But Aryn is only 2 points away from the 1,000 mark. They play their next game this coming Tuesday night at home, and surely she can make those 2 points and hit the 1,000 mark. Stay tuned!
This is the kind of day we are going to have today; dark, dreary and cold. See the full moon? I took this from my kitchen window.
I just cannot shake the doldrums so better close. Happy Saturday to one and all.
HA! Love the picture of Garfield. That looks like me in the morning, lol. Talk about doldrums..woke up to 5-6 inches of fresh snow and still snowing. Pretty though. I will refrain from saying enough until Feb. LOL.---Sorry about your granddaughter loosing her game. Pretty sure she will get her 2 points.----Blessings (off to get more coffee cause frankly, my brain is still muddled.)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait till Tuesday night for you all!!!
ReplyDeleteSnuggle up with your coffee and watch one of those good movies...sure cure for the doldrums in January! : )
I like Garfield and my coffee too sweet Linda. Sorry Aryn's team lost. I am sure they had fun though and there will be other games. Hoping Aryn gets those two points and I bet she does. Have a great weekend. Hugs
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Linda! It will be great that Aryn will be at home when she hits the 1,000 point mark!! LOL..I love the Garfield banner! He cracks me up. It is a dreary day here too. We are getting snow showers right now. I sure hope it is ends before I have to venture out today. Have a super Saturday, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of coffee, but not the taste! Can't wait to hear that Aryn made those 2 points. It's going to be exciting!
ReplyDeleteI love Garfield. I like the coffee pots. I'm the same way. Don't try having a conversation with me until I've had at least one cup.
ReplyDeleteThat's so great about Aryn. She'll no doubt go into the school's records.
The picture taken from the kitchen is good. I've always had trouble trying to shoot through glass. We've been having those dark, dreary days too. Hopefully we'll have some warm weather soon.
Take care.
The sunshine outside is deceptively enticing because as soon as you open the door, the frigid temperatures jolt you back to reality!!! It sounds like a good night for comfort foods for sure. That's a good picture you got from inside - - lots of detail. So will Aryn celebrate the 1,000 points? Is it just something she has kept up with? Probably not because there would be scorecards from games to verify it. Will she be recognized at the game or at an awards ceremony at school at the end of the season? Just curious. Our girls did not play sports so I really don't know.
ReplyDeleteThe 1,000 points she has accrued since entering /middlehigh school - (She played on the high school varsity team in the 8th grade and on up.} And yes, the stats keeper is responsible for knowing how many points each girl, each year, has scored. She will be recognized as the only girl bball player in the history of the school to score 1,000. She still has 2 more years to up the number. A boy 3 years ago did, but no other girl. She is only in the 10th grade.
DeleteWOW! That is super phenomenal. It sounds like she is headed on the right road for a college scholarship if she is interested in that. We are truly blessed when our descendants are hard workers with good accomplishments.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for Aryn!! Next game should do it, and her record will probably stand for years and years, by the time she graduates from high school...she might have 2,000 by then! I love Garfield and that photo is purrfect!!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about Aryn. Don't worry, she'll be back to winning again next game.
ReplyDeleteI love Garfield cartoons. They are always so cute and entertaining. Remember the kliban cartoons from the '80s? I was collecting them for awhile. They're fun too.
It's January, that could be the source of the doldrums. Hope that's all it is. We got out today. Drove to Jacksonville, Fla., and looked at the new motorcycles. I got to talk shop with other biker folks, so, that always cheers me up. Sometimes I sit so much on this sofa I must look like a seat cushion. Gotta get up, get movin', get motivated! [ha ha] Anyway, I pray that your blues are soon gone.
The Full Moon is beautiful. We have perfectly clear skies right now. I'm looking at it through my big picture window right now. "Shine on, shine on Harvest Moon ...."
God bless. ~:)
