It is 22 and supposed to go into 50's sometime today!  Hooray!!!  Heat wave before the next bout.

Church day for me and I always look forward to spending time in His house, with His people.

How deep the Father's love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure

How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory

Behold the man upon a cross
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers

It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished

I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection

Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

I always thought that it meant Amen, but Selah is a word used to magnify the words that come before it. It is translated to stop and listen. This implies that a person should think about what has been said to them in the context of the psalm.

  3. That was inspiring. I guess saying "Selah" is similar to our current day saying of "Period", only God will never lie. ;)
It's suppose to warm up here, then rain, then we're predicted to have SNOW!! I know, snow! If we do, photos to follow.
Have a blessed day my friend. ~:)

  8. We had a great worship service and an even better Sunday School time. One of our families is headed for the mission field - - - left a high management job and living the American Dream to be obedient to God's call on their lives. Our department's Sunday School Director had a very nice "send-off" with prayers, testimonies, and songs.
