Not sure what we will do today. Jim has a cousin who is in very poor health. In fact, it is his heart and they aren't giving him many days to live. At first they thought surgery would work, but it didn't. Jim grew up living close to him and playing with him. He asked yesterday if I would take him there. He lives Alabama(wanna go Linda? lol) and about an hour or so from here. I will wait until he wakes up to see if he still wants to go.
Aryn has a ballgame this evening and if we don't travel, we probably will go to her game. It is not on the mountain but across town. They only have 3 left before District play.
I still haven't heard from the scheduler about my epidural and had planned to give them until today and will call again. The cold weather makes my back and legs hurt even more. We went to church last night and it was bitter cold. Coming out, I thought I wouldn't make it to the car, I hurt so bad.
My Pastor's wife asked me to give my testimony at the next Ladies Fellowship, or she asked if I would pray about doing that. I told her I would, and it was sweet of her to ask.
Can you figure out who the picture is of? She might be out next President!!!

ReplyDeleteLinda, I understand Jim's desire to see his cousin one more time, but if your legs and back are hurting that bad, you really should not be driving for an hour in the cold, nasty weather. Do you have a Deacon from your church who could be your taxi driver, or a friend or neighbor who would do the driving? I'm worried about you trying to make that long trip. I know, I'm not your mom....
That reading "chair" would be wonderful, wouldn't it!! I would never want to get out of bed!!! Just let me ring a bell and have the butler bring my coffee.... (right - LOL).

Thanks for caring Terri. Jim decided not to go after all. I told him Murphy isnt working today and probably would go with him, but he said no.....not sure we will make the game either, but will decide closer to time. Afraid my butler would not show up either...lol

ReplyDeleteI am a reader. I checked 5 books out from the library yesterday. I am reading The Abominable first, as it is a 2 week book (and the others are 4 week books). It's a hefty read, and the writing is dense, so it may take me a while.
I love to read and like you I can't get comfortable in bed. That chair looks perfect.

Hi Linda! I'm getting to blogs late today! I have a back rest like the one that is pictured but I don't have the light that is hooked to it. The cup holder is the best! I'm sorry to here about Jim's cousin. Keeping him in my prayers! I hope you ended up hearing from your doctor's office today.
ReplyDeleteThe place I love to read best is our recliner. I would love to attach an adjustable lamp - - and a book holder cuz my arms can get tired! Then I would like a cook and maybe a maid so I wouldn't have to set the book down and prepare a meal or clean up after it!!! If we are going to dream, I want to "go big"!!!
