We are back from dr. They did blood work, EKG and Dr. said the numbness in his leg a couple of weeks ago and the staggering, weakness in his legs, seemed to all be due to his back and the pain meds he is taking. If you stop meds, the pain gets worse. His PT was 4.2 and should be around 2, so he is off Coumadin for 2 days, start again on Friday and go back on Mon. for re-check. Dr. said from all we told him, he didn't have a stroke, EKG was normal, blood pressure was normal. I am thankful....
At first he said he needed to eat a better diet, but as we talked on, he said no...let him eat what and when he will. The weight loss is a plus and to try to force him to eat wouldn't be good.
He is back walking with a cane, and did good of course, getting in and out of the dr. bldg. I was just scared to go without my son, but think I will be ok now.
Moving on..........what's up with all this mayhem at schools, colleges, etc. The one in Florida was averted or there would have been so many injured and/or killed.
Also cancelling tours of the White House , and cancelling the White House Easter Egg Hunt - is this really to 'save' money or is it because the powers that be fear someone will try to kill the President? People want to know.
I guess you can tell my mind is bouncing here and there. Any time I am out of my routine it does that...lol
Ok now, let's smile and laugh and enjoy each day as God has given us.
I contend that for a nation to try to
tax itself into prosperity is like a
man standing in a bucket and
trying to lift himself up by the
handle.

P. S. Just when you think all is well or better, you hear your name called, and you go to see what it is, you find Jim laying in his office floor. He said his chair turned over on him! I called my son and he ran over and we got him up. Sigh.....
Prayers will continue, Linda, for you both. It isn't easy dealing with all you are going through. Thanks for the update! So glad it wasn't a stroke.
ReplyDeleteHope things are better real soon Linda. Sending you lots of prayers!
ReplyDeleteThat's good he didn't have a stroke. We had my mother living with us because of strokes. It's scary and my heart goes out to you all. Thankfully your son was close by.
ReplyDeletePraying for your husband.
So glad it wasn't a stroke, still the prayers for the both of you will continue. You still have a lot on your plate.
ReplyDeleteKeep the faith that all will be better. I know this all must be very trying for you.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear that he didn't have a stroke! I will continue to keep you all in my prayers! Thank goodness he didn't hurt himself when he fell! Sending you a big (((HUG)))
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear he didn't have a stroke. Sorry to hear his chair over turned. That can happen. I know our doctor says anytime the ProTime test is between 2 and 3 that's good. When mine went over three, they cut back on one day, smaller dosage of Coumadin. We check Abe's here at home and the doctor is trying to fix it so I can do the same, saves running to the doctor once a month to do it and it's a lot cheaper. Hope he's all right from the fall.
