6 MONTHS TIL CHRISTMAS!

How in the world did we get to the end of June?  School starts in 6 weeks, Christmas will be here in 6 months...............time, please slow down!

As I suspected, when I took Jim to the doctor yesterday, they did nothing but sit there, talk to him, type in their computer and grin.  Grrrrrrrrr.  So, I took the 'bull by the horns' and said, "may I ask you some questions?"  She was very open to that.  Without giving you the "I saids, and she saids", we will now only be seeing this doc twice a year instead of every 2 months!  This is a nurse practitioner that sees Jim for the ortho doc that did his surgery - 2 1/2 years ago.  I told her we were not having any more surgery, that he was seeing his primary care doc on regular basis, and was going to the pain clinic for his meds.  She may not have liked it, but she did understand and thus the twice a year.  A win!

I am down now.  I have a really bad stomach virus (and I wont go into detail as I am sure you know what I mean) and, and, and............my back is acting up too.  I didn't sleep last night between running to the bathroom and walking out leg cramps.  I prayed so hard not to fall apart so I could take care of Jim, but God had other plans for me I guess.  Of all things he wanted to go to Cracker Barrel this morning to eat breakfast and I just couldn't make it.  Then he said he would go to Hardee's and get us breakfast.  I looked at him with a mean look and said, "are you sure you can drive?"   He looked hurt, but he didn't go.

The wheelchair people called yesterday and are supposed to deliver one today but I don't know what time, as Jim took the call, and then couldn't remember what he was told!

For those that might be discouraged about the things the government voted 'yes' on yesterday, dont be....it is part of a bigger plan and God has it all under His control.  Just be kind, love one another, stay faithful and know it will all be over soon, much sooner than we even know about.

Luke Chapter 21

Matthew 24:36 - But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

I am sorry to be so negative today, but it is my life right now.  So, below I will give you something to read that isn't complaining or griping or negative!!!

FACTS YOU MAY NOT KNOW.....................

infinite amount of times!

Gold is the only metal that doesn't rust,
even if it's buried in the ground for thousands of years .

Your tongue is the only muscle in your body
that is attached at only one end .

  1. I'm glad you had success with decreasing the appts, but it seems they could just have him be seem if he needs it. Even every 6 months seems like a lot!
I was very disappointed in the ruling yesterday, but as you say, it's a sign of the times.
    Hope you feel better soon!

  2. So sorry to read that you're sick. I pray you get well soon. ** I didn't like the court's decision yesterday, but as you said, it's a sign of the times, God has everything in His control and He will be returning soon. ** I didn't know that about the kites. Very interesting.

Hope you both have a restful day. ♥

  3. "It is a sign of the times"....yes, most certainly. But as Christians we have sat back and let too much happen without speaking up and out. I am praying that one of our Christian leaders will be brave enough to say enough is enough. I know it is all God's plan, but maybe He wants Christians to show their stuff! Just my thoughts.
I am so sorry you aren't well Linda. It must make it very difficult to not be feeling good and then try to be a caregiver for Jim. I pray that God will uplift you and strengthen you in these times.

  5. As you are on the road to getting better (I pray)...know that my prayers are still with you both.
I'm glad that Jim's appointments have been changed so that he won't have to go so often during the year.
May the week be brighter...and the weekend be glorious for both of you.
    Love and hugs,
    Jackie

  6. Prayers offered, Linda, and will continue. I'm glad Jim decided to not drive to Hardee's for breakfast, but know how hard that was on both of you. Happy to hear you questioned the nurse practitioner and got those appointments reduced. I wonder why she even needs to see him twice a year! Good for you! Hope you feel better soon, Linda. I know it's easy for me to say, but try to manage your stress levels - deep breath!! Glad the wheelchair is coming. I love the photo at the top of your post today. Really lovely. Love & hugs, my friend.

  8. Prayers offered that you'll be feeling better soon and will be able to tend to Jim's needs.

I don't consider your post all that negative, it is truth and honesty and yes, God is in control and we have hope in Him. Nothing negative there!
