THANK YOU GOD!

I am so thankful for heat in the winter and cool in the summer in my house.  When I drive through town and see what appears to be "homeless" people, it makes me ten times as thankful and I immediately pray for them.  They have family somewhere that cries and worries about them.  Warmth and cool in my house means even more then.

Brunch this morning at 9...pictures to follow.

We took a drive yesterday and it was the first time I had been out of the house all week.  The sun was shining and the sky was so blue.  As most of you know, we have mountains all around us, and we were on top of the one behind our house - Racoon Mtn.  Sometimes you can see "forever".

  • Covenant College’s beautiful 300-acre campus stretches atop Lookout Mountain on the border between Georgia and Tennessee, just minutes from downtown Chattanooga.  It was built as the Lookout Mtn. Hotel, where Rock Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor and other famous people stayed as they traveled through our area.  The picture I took is from one mountain top to the other.  My Jennifer went to college there for 2 years before transferring to UTC.  My granddaughter has received 4 letters of interest from their athletic department.

That is where my house is!

Men throw away broken things, but God never ever uses anything until He first breaks it.

  3. The pictures are just beautiful. That is awesome scenery in your part of the country. I've been in the area before, but just passing through with no pictures to prove I was even there. That's a shame. :)
I know the feeling of being 'house-bound' for a week. I'm sure it felt good to go for that drive. It always does for me.

  4. Chattanooga is such a beautiful place, Linda. Your photos show such awesome views. I'm sorry you forgot to take pictures at the brunch, but understand completely. It's great that you got lost in the good food and the company. I'm so happy your pain has lessened enough to allow you to enjoy it. Praise God. Wishing you a good Sunday, my friend!! Hugs & love.
