Day #11 I am thankful that I live in a country that is still free, but at the same time, freedom isn't free. I am thankful for all the men and women from day one until today, that have volunteered, been drafted and all in all, protected me and my family and this great country from tyranny and dictatorship. God bless them all!
Our grandson spent the night and bless his sweet 4 year old heart, he was sick the entire night; throwing up, nose bleeding, etc. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep, nor did he. He had an episode similar to this earlier last week and they felt it was a virus. I am a little concerned, but his parents will come soon, and hope they decide to take him to his doctor to be sure it isn't something else.
Two things happened in the sports world to we in the SEC. The University of Alabama football team has been #1 in the nation, has won the last 3 BCS games, and just seemed to be unbeaten. They lost to Texas A & M last night and was a shock to all of us.
Secondly, the UTC ladies Mocs basketball team, beat the UT Lady Vols of Knoxville. The Lady Vols under the leadership of Ms. Pat Summit have been victors for the past 30+ years. Again we were shocked, but our University of Tenn. at Chattanooga (UTC) Lady Mocs obviously have a really good team this year! The last time we beat them was back in 1973.
Well, hope you have a blessed day and will worship at the church of your choice.

when you have never had it taken from

We should all be thankful for the freedoms we have, not take them for granted, but unfortunately too many people don't. God bless all those who are serving us in the military.
ReplyDelete* Sorry your little grandson is sick. I would be very worried too. I pray he gets well real soon.
* I have family in TX and they were celebrating last night. Too bad it was your team's loss. * It's wonderful that your church congregation is growing like it is. What a blessing. * You have a great day.
The SEC is very competitive - against each other! U. of Tn. has done nothing this year or last, so we were pretty used to that, but U. of Ala. has been the big boy for so long. Chatta., is on the Tn., Ga. and Ala line so you can see why we are rooting for this one, sorry about that one, etc. lol
ReplyDeleteWe had so many in worship this morning, the choir had to stay in the choir loft, and the children stayed down stairs in children's church. A wonderful problem to have.
We certainly are thankful for our freedoms and for the men and women who have given so much to keep us that way. Nice that you have so many in church!! Your recent renovation may have to transition into an expansion! Good problem to have, for sure!
ReplyDeleteI thought of you when I saw Tony's facebook status about the UTC MOCS! I know you are a VOLVS fan too right? Were you happy about the win or upset? I know you were shocked..haha.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that Jessie is sick. Poor little guy. Keeping him in my prayers that the virus runs its course soon!
