IN DIXIE----
Alabama could sing "do wa diddie" and it would be good! Randy Owens was just in Chattanooga for a concert and it was sold out. Even though they don't make new albums, they are still #1 in my book. Maybe being a southerner, they just speak to me with the words in their music.
Jim and I went out to eat at Red Lobster yesterday. He was craving their coconut shrimp and it was just as good as always. I had a cup of corn chowder, and of course a cheese biscuit or two!
Today, in addition to the Hoops for Hope on Signal Mountain, the Christmas parade for my community will take place. As I will be on the mountain, I wont be able to see the parade, but my church will have a part in it. Someone is driving one of our big yellow church buses, all decorated with a Christmas wreath and big red bows. Anyone that wants to ride can, until it is full of course! We won the prize for best float last year.
No other news to report, so will just leave you with a thought............
"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
--Isaiah 26:3
Keep your nose in the Book and your mind on Christ!
I enjoy Alabama, too. Hope you have a delightful Saturday. Thanks for visiting Karen's blog - it will brighten her day!
ReplyDeleteGood Saturday, Linda! I love your vintage background today! I love Alabama, too. They have a great sound! Let us know if your church wins in the parade again this year! How great that they fill up the bus!! That's the way to "march" in a parade! LOL
ReplyDeleteRed Lobster has delicious coconut shrimp, and now I want some! LOL Wishing you a good Saturday!
Alabama is one of my favorites too. I love his voice and their music. I have a couple of their CD's.
ReplyDeleteRed Lobster is a great place to eat. When I read your hubby had the coconut shrimp, I could taste it. Now I'm hungry. :)
Mmm..I love Red Lobster's biscuits! I also love Alabama. We saw them in concert years ago and boy did they put on a great show.
