1) What will I do today?
2) My cat has found a new spot to settle down in - on my desk behind my computer and continues whipping her tail around the monitor.
3) I don't and didn't watch the tv program, The Bachelor, but must be the only one that didn't. It is all over the television this morning and must have been a big deal. I am old.
4) Weight Watchers vegetable soup recipe:
1 large can of V-8 juice
1/2 can water
1 can of French style green beans
1 can sliced carrots
shredded cabbage (as much or little as you please; I buy a package already shredded and use about 1/2 package)
1/2 onion, chopped
3 bay leaves
parsley flakes
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 can RoTel chilies and tomatoes (mild)
Mix all together in large pan, and cook until cabbage and onions are done. Will keep for about a week in fridge, and no calories.....can have a bowl of soup with any meal you prepare. It makes a lot, so you can freeze or share with neighbors! I got the recipe from a friend in 1971 and have been cooking it, sharing it, etc. since then.
5) My computer work-space.
6) Did you know that the word "Beulah" is in the Bible? Jim and I were talking about words we use today and words that were in the Bible, so of course I had to look it up. You have heard the song, "Dwelling in Beulah land", right? Look--------------
7) I am still not 'with it' on the new daylight savings time.
8) This is my cat Cali's favorite thing to play with! A ribbon from an old vase of flowers. When she first saw it, she couldn't stay away and I finally took it out of the vase and gave it to her. She carries it around the house like it is her baby!
9) My 7 year old granddaughter is learning to sing the National Anthem, and she called me last night to sing what she has learned so far! (Oh say can you see....) Grandchildren are truly a special gift from God.
10) I am working on not worrying and let things that are really unimportant, go. My mantra is helping........"Worry knocks on the door. Faith answers. No one is there."
My cat has also recently discovered the warm and cozy spot behind the computer monitor!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Linda! Great thoughts! I love the quote that you started your post with! Very comforting. I think it is so cute that Cali keeps that little ribbon with her at all times..LOL. I am having a problem getting used to the time change too! Looks like you have a very nice area to post your blogs from! I can't take a picture of my computer desk right now..it's way too messy..LOL. Have a terrific Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Linda!! Your 10 thoughts are organized already! I'm not quite there yet! LOL
ReplyDeleteI have never watched the Bachelor or the Bachelorette. Not something that appeals to me at all. I have been wondering who is watching the History Channel's The Bible. We are enjoying it. My computer area is my lap! LOL
Wishing you a good day!
The recipe sounds good, I may just give it a try!
