Nothing going on at my house. Jim is good one day, and the next not so good. He fell again last week and is sore all over, but seems to be getting around fairly well. We will just take it one day at a time.
No doctor appointments for either of us this week, and physical therapy has cut back to twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
I have a brake light out on my car, so need to get that fixed this week. The front porch needs to be washed and straightened, as the rain seems to be gone and we will be doing more porch sitting. Not sure I am up to cleaning it, but going to make the effort.
For those of you that aren't on Facebook, I will repeat what happened to us yesterday afternoon. We were sitting on the porch and out of the blue, a truck lost control ran through the yard next door, knocking down mailbox, dragging some old carpeting that was out on the road to be picked up, through our yard, cross the road, through another yard, jumped a ditch, a road and smashed into the side of a brick house/chimney. As you can imagine, the truck is totaled, but the guy and girl inside, were not injured other than their pride. When it hit, it sounded like a bomb had exploded.
That's it! Exciting huh?
My Life To A "T"!
I somehow missed this on Facebook! That is so scary. Do you know what happened to make them crash like that? I'm glad everyone was ok! Have a wonderful week, Linda!
ReplyDeleteThat's horrible!! The driver of that truck must have been going at a very high speed for him to travel that far. I'm glad they weren't hurt or anyone in your neighborhood, including you, but I hope he was arrested.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't found each other on Facebook yet. I may do that today. Want to be my friend? lol
I hope you and Jim have a good day. Let's pray he stays on his feet and doesn't fall again.
My prayers are still with you. Take care. ♥
Wow - that's a little too much excitement! Glad everyone is ok and I hope your day goes well.
ReplyDeleteOh no! I'm not on FB with you, so I had no idea about the car incident. I'm glad that the passengers weren't injured...and I am so glad that none of you were either.
ReplyDeleteContinued prayers for Jim.
Isn't it a blessing to know that we don't have doctor's appointments scheduled. Part of getting older, I guess, but I do noticed that doctor's appointments certainly take up a lot of my calendar.
Love,
Jackie
I was horrified when I read the account of the accident on FB, and just felt that same horror again! Praise God no one was hurt, and I hope they learned to slow down in bad weather!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week without appointments, but sorry you need to see someone about the brake light. Do you have an Advanced Auto Parts store there? They are so good about helping you do things yourself. It's a lot less expensive that way....catch Murphy and take him with you!
Enjoy your porch-sitting weather!!
I have a break light out too! lol
ReplyDeleteVery good that only property was hurt and no persons. I love the cartoon at the end!
ReplyDeleteLitigator takes prozac - lol. sandie
ReplyDeleteSweet Linda sorry to hear that Jim fell again. Hope the soreness goes away soon. Wow!! That was some accident glad the truck did not hit you all as you were sitting on your porch. Those people are very lucky no one was injured or killed. Enjoy sitting on your porch. Hugs
