FEET!

So, which are you?  Mine seem to be closest to Roman.  Now who comes up with things like this?  Who has the time to sit around and check feet? Does that person go to the countries where most of those toes live and check them out?  Me thinks this person needs a job!

Good Thursday morning.  My 'Thursday Thankfuls' include a good report at the Dr. office, Jim is stable so far this morning. Even at my age, I am happy where I am and don't think I would go back in time even if I could. I am thankful for a healthy family (children and g.children).  We all have roofs over our heads, food to eat, beds to sleep in, and clothes to wear. My bills are paid and I am enjoying each day, and looking forward to the colors of fall which don't seem to be too far away.

FYI.........

This is a cancelled check in the amount of $ 7.2 million, for the purchase of Alaska from Russia, issued August 1, 1868. For less than 2 cents an acre, the United States acquired nearly 600,000 square miles.

It has come to my attention that many dont know how to center a picture on your blog.  I accidentally happened upon a site that tells you, step by step, how to do it and thought I would share.

Uploading an image - http://www.bloggerial.com/2013/01/how-to-center-banner-image-on-blogger.html

If you uploaded your banner image via Gadget, Blogger will automatically align it to the left. There are no options for middle and right alignment. Sometimes your header image is not as wide as the rest of your blog then it’s possible by adding CSS.

You just have to do two simple steps:

Step 1:
Upload your Header image.

Step 2:
Go to your Template Designer > Advanced > Add CSS (see below), and add this code:

.header-outer {margin-left:90px;}

You might need to adjust the “90″ value depending on how large your header is and how wide your blog is, so just play with the number until it looks right. (smaller #s will move your header to the left, and larger #s will move your header to the right)

I wish you a happy and cool Thursday!

  2. Good morning, Linda! I'm Roman..my feet are shaped exactly like that..lol. I wonder if they have a hand one out there? I'm with you with waiting for the fall colors to arrive..I can't wait! Thanks for the centering photo tip! I never knew how to do it. I used to know how to on Multiply but this seems a little different. Have a great day, my friend!

  3. I bookmarked your link, too, but I don't usually work as hard to change my backgrounds as you and others do. I make a change about once a week or so, and as easily as I can! You are much more creative, and I look forward to seeing your new backgrounds!

My feet! Ha! One is Roman and the other is Greek! Of course, the Roman foot is because I had surgery and my toes are messed up a little from that. As to the Greek, I have done lots of family research, including Ancestry.com's DNA - no Greek blood anywhere! Go figure. Still fun!

Happy to hear Jim is doing well today, and that you got a good report from your doctor! Go out to lunch and celebrate today! May blessings follow you, whatever you do today!

  5. I guess changing my blog backgrounds, etc. is the only ceative thing I do. I have always been one to change things....rearrange furniture, closets, dishes, anything that makes it look new. Cant always buy new, so I change what I have, then it feels new!

  6. Hi Linda! I love this! and I love that you joined me on my blog too. What a win/win for me today. I am going to try and upload something for my header. Where do I find the place to upload a new image? Is it in the blogger template?

I am so impossibly ignorant about this stuff. But I'll give it a whirl!

Looking forward to getting to know you better!

    1. Ceil, I find pictures on the internet, on Pinterest, or just type in a subject and also put "pictures of waterfalls" for example, they come up and choose any picture, save it to my computer in a folder I have "Title Pictures", and then use it when I want to, centering from the previous website I mentioned. Does that make sense?

  7. I'm confused. How can I have Egyptian feet when my mom was Norwegian and my dad was German?

  8. The toes..... that's funny. I had to laugh. According to that, I'm Egyptian?? I don't think so. lol I thought it was just because of the pointed toe shoes i used to wear all the time. ** We are both thankful for the same things. So glad you got a good report and that Jim is having a good day. God bless you both. ** Your blog is so pretty today. Thank you for the info on the design. You're so smart. I'll save the web site and try playing with it when I have plenty of time to get my brain to grasp it all.
    Take care. ♥

  9. I don't know how accurate that is but it looks like I've inherited Germanic feet. My birthfather is a direct descendant of Scottish Highlanders who where orginially from what is now Germany. Ta da! But I'm mostly Irish, so, who knows? :)

Thanks for the link again. I've bookmarked it.
