Before it gets too much colder, wouldn't it be nice to be sitting at a campsite, by a fire, drinking coffee and eating some of these cinnamon buns?  I would love it.  Or on a deck in the mountains, wrapped in a blanket, with that same coffee and bun.  Or at my little table on my front porch.  This is my favorite time of the year - no doubt about it.

When you sleep, do you hear every little noise?  I do and it wakes me, and most of the time I can go right back to sleep. One thing that is causing it now I think, is that there have been several break-ins around our area lately.  In fact, the girl that cuts my hair lives about 3 blocks from us, and someone broke into her home, in broad daylight and the only thing they took was her 60 inch flat screen TV and her costume jewelry box.It really doesn't matter what they take, you never feel completely safe again....in your mind anyway.  We hear every day about robberies, both in homes and businesses.  We live in a good neighborhood, so it doesn't matter, good or bad.

Since Aryn's team won their District in volleyball, they begin the Sub-Sectionals tonight and her school is the host. Jim and I would like to go see at least one of the 3 games, but it depends on how we both feel this afternoon.

Paying bills, doing some mending, hemming, laundry and all the exciting things will make up my day.  Hope yours is surely better!

Work while we can, save what we can, share what we can, and trust God to meet our needs.
Thank You, Lord, for the promise that You will
meet our needs. Help us not to fear or doubt.
We’re grateful that You’re watching over us
and that our cries for help reach Your ear.
Our needs will never exhaust God’s supply.

  1. The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want!! Thankful everyday for Him!!

Those cinnamon buns look GOOD! I enjoy the cooler, less humid weather, too, but am over the wrapping up in a blanket, or sitting by a campfire. I'm a Floridian now, through and through! LOL

Joe and I have one of those noise machines that we play every night - ocean sounds. It's the only way I can stay asleep, because he is up and down all night and he snores. The gentle ocean sounds keep us in the same room. We even have one we take with us when we travel!! Of course, that means I would not hear someone breaking in - unless they made a whole lot of noise! It is scary to think about being violated by thieves, and you are right - would that feeling of security in your home ever come back?

On that note....wishing you a good day, and hope you are up to seeing one of Aryn's games! Keep us posted!

  2. I'm so hungry for a warm cinnamon bun right now. I wonder how that happened. Oh right.... my friend showed me a picture of some! hehehe That's all it took.
I know what you mean about the crime all around us. We've had it too. It's hard to feel safe anymore, no matter where we are. And according to the Bible, it's only going to get worse.
I hope you're both able to go to Aryn's games. Have a good day.

  3. We have a low crime rate where we are, ppl still leave there doors unlocked, cars too. The police are non tolerant and they have a stiff curfew of the urchins here (under 18 crowd, lol). Hope your able to go to your grandaughters games. Blessings

  4. Shame on you showing those delicious cinnamon buns! [drool] Bad girl! [lol] I love those things but can't have the sugar anymore. [pout] But, I'm being good and keeping my blood sugar normal. Don't wanna be a diabetic or get Altzheimers.

Sorry to hear about the break-ins. Yipes, that is scary. Even though we live way out in the country we put little buzzers on each door. They're available from Lowe's and super cheap. They work by an electrical connection (run on batteries) that when it is broken, the buzzer sounds. That'll give me enough time to get out the .45 Remington 1911. And let's just say they won't walk out. :)

Congrats on Aryn's team winning! Hope you're feeling better today.

    God bless. ~:)
