GOTTA LUV CHARLIE BROWN!!!

Anything 'Charlie Brown' makes me smile, especially at Christmas time!

My 12 year old granddaughter got to choose the card her family would send this year.  They each take a turn, and this is the one she chose.  It is probably one of the most meaningful cards I will see this year and she made her old 'Nana' happy with her choice.

I finally got some half-way decent pictures of my tree on the porch, both from inside and outside, and the guard over it!  lol   Maybe she is wanting the gifts in the rocking chair.

Aryn has a basketball game at her school this evening and providing the weather isn't too rotten, we are going to try to go.  She lives on one of the mountains surrounding Chattanooga, so it may be foggy, or raining too hard to go up and down.

What is your favorite Christmas song?

Mine is 'Mary, Did You know?'

  1. Oh, Linda, that is absolutely my favorite Christmas song - since the first time I heard it. Thank you for posting it, because I have not heard it yet this year.

Your tree looks great, Linda!! Cali is just where she needs to be - away from the tree! LOL

Good luck to Aryn and her team tonight. You two just be safe!! Will look forward to hearing the score, whether you go or not, though!

    Love the snow!! Very cute!

  3. Wow! Your new background today is beautiful. Puts me in the holiday mood for sure. Where did you find it?
I love that song. It always has an effect on me. Tears.
Your grand-daughter chose a beautiful card.
I love your tree. You have an ideal place to do that. I couldn't possibly do anything like that here. Wish I could. The weather or the vandals would destroy it.
I hope you can go to the game tonight. Just be careful.
My favorite song? There's so many to choose from, but I think, in the spirit of the season I would say "Oh Holy Night". In the secular section --- "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" LOL
    Have a great day.

  4. OK, now I'm in a holiday mood! I like the animated background. Very cool.

Nice card. I like the sentiment. We should see God in everything that He created. The tree and decorations look lovely.

I enjoy all the traditional Christmas carols. I think my favorite is "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen". In the secular catagory would be "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer". That one makes me giggle every time.

Hope the bitter cold doesn't hit y'all. We're so warm we've got the A/C on again.

    Merry CHRISTmas y'all! ~:)

  5. Carol, I type in animated 'snow' or 'rain' or anything I wanted to be animated and then choose from there.
I love 'Grandma got run over by a reindeer too...giggles'. There are so many beautiful songs for Christmas, wish we had some good ones in other months...lol
